Quick-Play Spell Card

Lore: Until the end of this turn, the Attribute of all face-up LIGHT monsters currently on the field becomes DARK, their effects are negated, and their ATK becomes 0. You can only activate 1 "Darker, Yet Softer" per turn.

 

Mostly meant as a 1-turn alternative to Light-Imprisoning Mirror.

I find this MUCH much weaker than LIP. This card does not affect the Graveyard, also, as you said, only one turn. Question: If it makes the monsters dark, surely the rest of the effect wouldn't effect them?

All of the effects happen simultaneously, as far as I know, so I'm pretty sure they WOULD be affected.

The point here is that LIP doesn't reduce ATK, this does, which also means that this can be activated in the Damage Step.
