Lifeheart's Lifelike introduction

Hey People,

I dont quite recall when I made my account, at first, just so I could save cards.

By now, I understand enough of the community dynamic from looking at posts and figured it was time to drag myself over to the computer and type up an intro.

I personally find XYZ monsters to be gamebreaking and think that the Synchro era was the height of the Yugioh timeline. That said, I love the GX story. If only they did more with duel academy than have it be a passing occurrence......

I am almost done with my first set of cards, a set focused on the various mythos. I have a few(30-40) cards that I would like to add to my set and will do so. I like to think that I am very clever with my ideas, although I generally take a twist on something I see while rewatching the episodes that I enjoy.

That said, I am generally open to a sunday 1v1, but be sure to check with me first.

Shoot me a PM saturday night with a sunday start time and I will happily get to work on a competition card or few.

The only thing that I struggle with is my ridiculously long names for monsters, and thus I shorthand them. Sue me. I am still learning the grammar that is used on the cards.

Anyway, I exist publically now.

I like you.

That said, welcome aboard. According to your profile, you made your account in May of 2015, since you said you didn't know.

As for your cards, let me speak from experience when I say you shouldn't post the whole set at once. A lot of new members make that mistake of posting a whole bunch of cards at once and frankly nobody wants to read an entire deck's worth of cards at the same time. Konami only releases a couple cards for new archetypes at a time for this reason. Start with no more than five cards and add one or two more periodically; you're more likely to get reviews that way.

With all the casual stuff said, make sure you read the rules if you haven't yet, and above all else, do your best to make your time here enjoyable :)

I look forward to seeing you in the forums!

Welcome to YCM, JoshuaLifeheart.

I'm Sakura, the current lead moderator of Custom Cards (and that of this section & Q/A).

As Yui mentioned already, don't post more than 5-10 cards at a time, since members are less inclined to comment on very large sets.

(And yes, there is a member with 400+ DBZ cards in one thread in Experimental, despite it being 5-6 years old)

With that in mind, just make sure you know which section your cards go into, since Casual and Advanced have different standards for design (Advanced deals with the competitive game for the most part, and Casual is for general design).

If you're not totally familiar with the PSCT writing that cards use, don't worry. We'll help you along the way so you improve on it.

----

If you need help around YCM or Custom Cards (which is generally abbreviated as CC) in general, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Or if I'm not around for CC matters, PM Gadjiltron/Trebuchet MS or Zextra.

Have fun.

Welcome to the forums. Xyz is busted asf.

My tip to you is to post in Casuals until you get the hang of the Metagame/Grammar (also no one ever posts there lol). There's also a bunch of other non-cards stuff that people post in which is nice.

No one (except me probably) will review your cards at first, since casuals are void of people with spare time/tolerance of noobs. Just practice and you'll probably eventually do decent.

Remember to read the rules and give likes to reviews. Also stay away from cancer users. They'll stand out to you without a doubt.

I almost forgot to mention that i'm edgy
