The Shouty Mans [Written]

One card technically exists that involves shouting (let's ignore that little tag in the left corner), therefore mini-archetype. In casual for obvious reasons. Also my card grammar is awful.


 


Shouty Man #1


EARTH


[Warrior/Effect]



ATK/1000 DEF/0


Once per turn, you can shout "I believe I can fly!": This turn, this card can attack your opponent directly. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can shout "Join me brother!"; add 1 "Shouty Man" card from your Deck to your hand.


 


Shouty Man #2


EARTH


[Warrior/Effect]

ATK/0 DEF/1600


Once per turn, you can shout "Shield & Sword!": This turn, this card's original ATK and DEF are switched. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can shout "BLSEOTB!"; this card can make another attack in a row. You can only gain this effect once per turn.


 


Shouty Man #3


EARTH


[Warrior/Effect]

ATK/0 DEF/0


Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can shout "I'm a shouty man!"; This turn, this card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for each "Shouty Man" card in your Graveyard, but you cannot declare an attack with other monsters you control. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can shout "This is the end!"; Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent for each time you have shouted to activate an effect this turn.


 


Shoutstorm


Quick-play Spell Card


Special Summon 1 "Shouty Man" monster from your Graveyard. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except "Shouty Man" monsters, the turn you activate this effect.


 


Shouthouse


Field Spell Card


Each time you shout to activate a card or effect: Place 1 Shouty Counter on this card. During either player's turn, you can shout "This was my plan all along!": Draw 1 card for each Shouty Counter on this card, then banish this card and all cards in your Deck and Graveyard. During the End Phase, if this card is banished and was banished this turn by this effect: You lose the Duel.


 


These weren't very good.

These are way overpowered and they should probably go to the Joke, Overpowered section. All you have to do is to shout some words and activate a pretty devastating effect. And you also have to shout words...

 

I mean, "devastating"?

 

#1 becomes Wattcobra.

#2 becomes a 1600 potential double attacker.

#3 can reach 8000, but that's the ceiling, and requires you to have dumped everything else. Burn arguably is excessive.

Shoutstorm is basically quick-play Reborn, but with 3 targets it's fair enough, maybe hard OPT if you really want.

Shouthouse is a ridiculous all-in play.

 

They are jokes in the sense of stupidity yes, but by no means are the effects overpowered to the degree you suggest. And a set of 5 cards with absolutely no outside synergy isn't exactly a great base for a deck.

I didng say broken... wellifi did I mean is that he should allow conditions that could mean difficulty to activate. Like discard 1 card, but not shouting...

 

Well

 

Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, has a really good effect for basically no cost. Performapal Skullcrobat Joker has no cost. Edea the Heavenly Square has no cost.

These effects aren't even that good. The deck has no removal, a little searching, and is mostly limited in what it can do. All they do, really, is manipulate attacking your opponent. Also, half of the people playing yugioh won't have the self confidence to shout; that's why we play yugioh.

All in all, these really weren't very good.
