✯Welcome to the Digimon Mafia: War of the Mega's ✯

This is a game of strategy, skill, luck, trust, deception, judgement, and teamwork. Heroes and Villains face off in an epic battle between some of Digimons most iconic faces. But don't forget the Third Parties they have their own goals, and will manipulate, assist, or hinder the Heroes and Villains in this war in order to accomplish them. So without further ado, let's jump right in.
 



[spoiler ☑ How to Play & Rules ☑]

First, let's talk about the basic Mafia game. There are two major sides, Heroes and Villains. The Heroes have a numbers advantage, however they do not know who out of the other players is also a hero. The Villains may be small in numbers, but they get the advantage of a Group PM. Because of this, they will know who their allies are and can discuss freely and privately among each other their plans and strategies. There are also Third Parties, but we'll get more into them further down. Players will be assigned a character by the Hosts, and do not get to directly choose who they'd like to play as. However there is a "Character Select" feature that will be detailed in the character portion of this thread.
Every character has unique (or at least semi-unique) abilities that they can use. These include one active ability, one passive ability and may include something else.

The active ability is one that must be PMd to the Hosts in order to be used every night. For example, if a Character had an ability that said "Can kill one player per night", the Player who is that character must PM the Hosts their target every night, or the ability will not be used.The passive ability is one that activates on it's own under certain conditions. For example, if a Character had an ability that said "Will survive any direct attacks, and kill the attacker", if they are attacked during the night, their ability will activate once they are attacked, and the attacker will be killed without any action on the player's part.The item functions very similarly to the active ability, it's something that must be "activated" in the same sense. However items are extremely powerful abilities, therefor they are limited to a certain number of uses per game. However if a Character/Player is revived after being killed by an ability/item that's not their own, their item uses will be restored.The game is split up into two cycles, Night and Day. During the Night, players can use their PM with the Hosts (Myself and DocHoliday) to tell them how they would like to use (or not use) one of their abilities that night. The villains will also use this time to select their target for the nightly kill, and the majority vote in the Villain PM will be attacked by whoever is selected as the nightly killer. Changing from past Mafia games, the Villains will also vote on who the nightly killer is. Whoever gains the most votes, will be the nightly killer. However, once a Villain has been the nightly killer, they cannot be selected again until all other living Villains have also been the nightly killer. When the Night is over, one of the Hosts will detail the Night's events in a flashy (or not so flashy) post, and the game will go into the Day stage. During the Day, players are encouraged to discuss and analyze the Night's events along with what has happened during the game as a whole to pinpoint someone they think is a villain. The entire group (Even the villains) will vote towards someone to execute. The person with the most votes will be executed by the entire town. Once they have been executed, the day advances into the next night Cycle.

 

 

The goal of the game is for one of the major sides to eliminate all major threats. So for Heroes, this means getting rid of all Villains. For Villains it means to eliminate all Heroes. The Third Parties have their own individual win conditions and they could help everyone, hinder everyone, stay to themselves, or pick whatever side they want.

 

Now for the rules. These are simple rules, and I'd very much appreciate if you'd follow them and be a good sport in this game!

  • Do not be a bad sport!! This is meant to be a fun game, and while friendly competitive banter is completely okay, do not insult any player in a possibly hurtful way. If you do, your team will be forced to pay for your consequences, as you will be removed from the game and your role forever written out. I will also convene with other hosts to see if they will continue the punishment for bad sports in their own game.
  • Do not PM other Players without Host consent/involvement. Aside from the main villain PM and a few unique cases, there should be no private discussion between players. If a player has PMd you, please inform a Host (WITH PROOF) IMMEDIATELY. This is something that could ruin the game for everyone involved, and we really do not want that. There will be rewards for players who do so.
  • Do not use screenshots to prove your role, in the main thread, or PMs. This also is a game-breaker that would make the game less fun for everyone. Anyone who does will be removed.You must have at least 100 posts to play. This is to do our best to keep alts out of the game, I apologize to any new  without enough posts that are interested, but it's a necessity so that cheaters have less of a chance of succeeding.
  • The Hosts may add/change/remove rules at any time at their discretion. This is our game. We will try to not be dictators, however if we see a flaw in a rule that is being exploited by other players, we reserve the right to change the rules as we see fit. The better sports you are as players, the less we have to do this. If we do, we will make a large noticeable post and tag every player (alive, dead, or otherwise) to inform the group.
  • Inactivity will not be tolerated. This has been an issue in several past Mafia games, you must be active in the thread at least once every two nights to some extent. If you are not, you will be warned by a Host, and if you do not change your activity level, your role will be temporarily written out, and possibly given to an active and well behaved player who has died.
  • If you were killed, you are dead. As a role, you're gone. You can't reveal what you know, or affect gameplay at all. You can still talk, but not about anything relating to the game after you died or information you know but haven't shared. If you do anything that could effect another player's choice, you will be removed from the game after a single warning.
  • Have fun!! Let's face it, we're all a bunch of nerds here, so do what you want to make the game more enjoyable! If you want to speak like the character you were assigned, feel free! If you want to alter your playstyle to be in character, have a ball! Post memes, songs, GIFs, pictures, etc. Don't go overboard (posting the same thing five times gets kind of old) but enjoy yourself!

 

 

 



Heroes

[spoiler Alphamon]



 
Passive - Alpha inForce: an ultimate force which, in battle, instantaneously replays the elapsed battle, although Alphamon's attacks are over in just an instant, you can't grasp how many attacks it actually unleashed, and in theory, you can only see the final blow that brought down the opponent. Essentially, Alphamon abilities come before all abilities used on him. As a side effect Stuns & Links will carry over to the next night.
Active - Divine Sword Grade Alpha: Can kill one person a night with a one night recharge.
Passive - The Empty Seat: Alphamon is the true leader to the Royal Knights but will only be reveal himself when he chooses to. All investigations/observations on him will fail and the player can reveal him through the Admin.


[spoiler Craniamon]



 
Active - Shock Ringer: Using the his Duo Solar Spear, Craniamon can attack one player of his choice. If they are a villain, they will fall. If they are a Royal Knight, they will be stunned on the following night. However this takes time to charge up, so it activates the night after the ability is used.
Passive - A Duelist Honor : Craniamon will always only fight one opponent at a time. As such on night's when he is charging Shock Ringer only 1 ability that targets him will go through. Additionally, on nights when Shock Ringers hits any ability his target hits will be directed at him.


[spoiler Crusadermon]



 
Active - Fist of Fear: Once a night Crusadermon can stun a target for that night and the following night. This ability cannot target the same person in a row.
Passive - Immoral Justice: Crusadermon will do everything in her to enact her justice even if it means taking out her own allies. She will bypass all passive abilities of her fellow Royal knights if she targets them with the exception of Alphamon.



[spoiler Dynasmon]



 
Active - Dragon's breath: Dynasmon uses unleashes a torrent of energy to blind all players for the night, causing all hostile abilities (kills and disables) to fail, this requires two nights of recharge however.
Passive - Dragons Rour: Has a 50% chance to bring fear to anyone who interacts with him. When feared, a player has a 50% chance their move will not go through during the night. Paralysis lasts 1 night.



[spoiler Examon]



 
Active - Ambrosius: With this great lance, Examon can target one player a night. Target player will be hit by a random effect.
Active - Caledfwlch no Gekkou: By amplifying his own power Examon on the following night can have Ambrosius target 3 players instead of 1. Has a two night cool down.


[spoiler Gallentmon]



 
Active - Shield of the Just: Gallentmon holds the mighty shield known as Aegis, once a night he can protect one person. Anyone who uses an offensive ability on that person will not be able to use their active abilities the following night and the offensive ability with fail.
Passive - Grani: Grani will allow Gallentmon to survive two kill attempts.



[spoiler Gankoomon]




Active - The Wandering Savior: Gankoomon will be given a random ability per night by the moderator, each shout has a different effect that can range from killing someone at random to switching someone's target. It all depends on the luck of the draw.
Passive - Data Absorption: If Gankoomon kills someone, that player cannot be revived as long as Gankoomon lives. He absorbs the very digital code that allows them to exist.



[spoiler Jesmon]



 
Active - Glitch in the Network: Jesmon can pick up on oddities in the Digital World. Once a night, Jesmon can view a player and see the names of all those who interacted with them that night.
Passive - OS Generics: Each night Jesmon has a 50% chance to gain random Passive Abilities by rewriting it's own digital code. This keeps happening until he gets a fail result(basically he can potentially gain all passive abilities during the night). This resets every night

Active - Odin's Breath: Once a night Kentaurosmon can stun a random player, this stun also negates that players passive ability for that night.
Passive - Red Digizoid Armor: Thanks to the special red variant of Crome Digizoid that composes his armor he will ignore the first kill attempt made on him during the night.



[spoiler Leopardmon]



 
Passive/Active - Leader to Beast: Each night Leopardmon can shift between his humanoid form and his beast form. In his humanoid form he can investigate one player each night. In his beast form he can counter attack anyone that tries to kill him.


[spoiler Magnamon]



 
Active - The Appearance of a Miracle: Twice in the entire game Magnamon can tap into the Egg of Miracles to completely wipe the events of the previous Day/Night Cycles.
Passive - The Shining Pillar: Any vote from Magnamon counts twice. The player may vote in their character pm if they so desire regardless of what they say in the thread.


[spoiler Omnimon]



 
Passive - Omega InForce: Is an ultimate force that was acquired by Omnimon . It allows Omnimon to instantaneously read ahead in battle and respond accordingly, making it theoretically impossible to defeat, and also draws out and raises its combat sense and potential to their utmost limits. Essentially, Omnimon will know the identity of anyone who interacts with him except for Alphamon, Shakamon, & Zeedmilleniamon.
Active - Garuru Cannon/Grey Sword Combo: Once a night Omnimon can target one player with Garuru Cannon, that player will become frozen(they cannot active abilities and cannot vote during the day), the following night he can use the Grey Sword to kill them, set them free or keep them frozen. He cannot use the first part of this ability if he's already frozen a person.



[spoiler Ulforceveedramon]



 
Active - The Fastest of the Royal Knights: Thanks to the especially rare Blue Digizoid that makes up his armor Veedramon is the fastest of the Royal Knights. As such each night he can swap two players additionally he cannot be stunned.
Passive - The Ray of Victory: After a person is lynched there's a 25% chance that the Admin will pm him about if the lynched person was a hero/villain/third party



[spoiler Ebonwumon]



 
Active - Digi Core of Rejuvenation: Ebonwumon can use 3 of his Digi Cores to revive a player starting the 3rd night. He can do this a total of 4 times. Upon the forth use Ebonwumon will die.
Active - Misty Illusion: Once every other night Ebonwumon can change the target of a players active ability.


[spoiler Zhuqiaomon]



 
Active - Digi Core of Revitalization: Once a night Zhuqiaomon can target a player, that player can perform double their normal actions limit that night and their vote counts double the following day. Using this ability costs 3 of his 12 Digi Cores and upon using this ability 4 times Zhuqiaomon will die.


[spoiler Azulongmon]



 
Digi Core of Communication: Twice per night Azulongmon send a pm invite to a player by using 3 of his twelve Digi Cores. If the player doesn't accept he won't lose those Digi Cores and they'll be returned to him. He can successfully use this ability a total of 3 times.
Passive - The Deified Dragon: Cannot be killed by heroes & cannot be lynched.


[spoiler Baihumon]



 
Active - Digi Orb of Retaliation: Once a night Baihumon can target a player, that player will be protected from two attacks for the of the game. Using this ability costs 3 of his 12 Digi Cores and upon using this ability 4 times Baihumon will die.



Villians

[spoiler Lucemon Chaos mode]



 
Active - Deadly Role: will be given a random ability per night by the moderator, each ability has a different effect that can range from killing someone at random to switching someone's target. It all depends on the luck of the draw.
Passive - Pride of the Leader of the 7 Demon Lords: Any player that Lucemon kills, will be absorbed. They cannot be revived until Lucemon dies, and their identity will remain hidden until he is slain.


[spoiler Leviamon]



 
Active - The Wickedness: Everytime a Demon lord is killed Leviamon can prevent the following day to skip to the next night instead. This will only happen once for each Demon Lord except itself and this ability does not take into account Higher digivolution forms.


[spoiler Daemon]



 
Active - Fallen: Daemon will be given the roles of all who have died. In addition the deaths of others will not become public knowledge until Daemon is killed.
Passive - Even in Death: Daemon can still discuss game play while dead and may investigate 1 player every other night while dead.



[spoiler Belphemon Rage mode]



 
Active/Passive Belphemon Sleep Mode: Belphemon with start in sleep mode at the start of the game. For each night that passes a Rage counter is added. During an night Belphemon can awaken for that night. belphemon can attack equal to the number of rage counters built. All rage counters will be removed once the night ends. Belphemon can a Rage counter for every 2 villains that die. Belphemon cannot be killed or stunned while in Rage Mode.


[spoiler Barbamon]



 
Active - Greedy Wand: Once a night Barbamon can target one villain & one non-villain player. These two players will be linked and so all actions that would happen to one will happen to the other. If a villain is not hit by this ability then Barbamon will be stunned the following night. This ability has a 1 night cool down.


[spoiler Beelzamon]



 
Active - Double Impact: Once a night Beelzamon can target two players. For each player there's a 5 in 10 chance of failing, a 3 in 10 chance of stunning, and a 2 in 10 chance of killing.
Passive - Gluttonous Appetite: With ever successful Stun or Kill generated from Double Impact Beelzamon will gain one ability from the character that was Stunned/Killed. Stuns will only give him an ability from that character once. Kills will permanently give him the ability.



[spoiler Laylamon]



 
Active - Goddess of Darkness: Once every 3 night Laylamon can revive one player, if that player is a hero she will die.
Passive - Lustful Invitation: Laylamon will come up as a random female Hero/Third Party when investigated or Obvserved.



[spoiler Metalseadramon]



 
Active - River of Power: Once a night can target a player, that player can perform double their normal actions limit that night. has a 2 night recharge and can't be activated the first night.
Passive - Terror of the Deep: All targeted abilities aimed at Metal Seadramon have a 50% chance to fail.



[spoiler Puppetmon]



 
Active - Puppet Strings: Once a night Puppetmon can target one player. If that player targets a person with an ability, the target will be randomized instead.



[spoiler Machinedramon]



 
Active/Passive - The Mechanical Tyrant: Once a night Machinedramon can protect one player. If that player is targeted by a kill the one who targeted them will target Machinedramon instead. Machinedramon cannot be killed during the night with a few exceptions.


[spoiler Piedmon]



 
Active - Magical Keychains : Once a night Piedmon can target one player, that player will be turned into a keychain. That player cannot activate abilities and votes from that player will be voided. Piedmon can have up to two players turned into Keychains at any given time and it takes one night to release a player.



[spoiler Diaboromon]



 
Active - Network Overload: This ability is activated during the Day. During voting, Diaboramon can scramble the votes automatically moving it to the next cycle. A Random Player will then be lynched. This ability has a 2 day cool down.
Passive - Replication: For every successful hero lynched by Network Overload Diaboramon gains 1 extra life.



[spoiler Myotismon]



 
Active - He who acts in the shadows: Once a night Myotismon can send investigate one player by sending a swarm of bats.
Passive - The one who doesn't die: If Myotismon is killed he will be revived into a stronger digimon two days later. This can happen a total of 2 times.


[spoiler Apocalymon]



 
Active - Reverse Digivolve: Once a night Apocalymon can stun one player. If that player's character has digivolved further they will be reverted to their prior form.
Depths of Chaos: For each Dark Master that has fallen(or isn't in the game) Apocylamon will be given a random ability from them.


[spoiler Dexmon]



 
Active/Passive - Processes O & F: If interacted with and the player who does has a Digicore that player will be permanently stunned until Dexmon is killed. Additionally all investigations on this character will come up as a random character unless a player is being stunned by this ability.



[spoiler Mastemon]


 
Active - Spacial Exchange: By opening up portals through Space-time Mastemon can swap two players. Additionally she can instead swap herself with herself making all abilities targeting her fail for the night. This has a one night cool down.



The Thirds

[spoiler ZeedMillenniummon]



 
Win Condition: Zeed must be the last one alive in the game to win. Additionally if Zeed wins everyone else loses
Passive - True Threat to Time & Space: Zeed must be attacked by two heroes & two villains on the same night in order to die. Additionally you cannot be lynched unless you were lynched vie random.
Active - Time Destroyer: Once a night during each night you can permanently kill one person. That person cannot be revived except under specific conditions. Additionally, if Zeed is still alive by Night 6 the Digital Bands that suppress it's true power will be removed and this ability will then allow you to randomly kill half the current players each night with a three night recharge.



[spoiler Shakamon]



 
Win Condition: Shaka must Amplify at least 3 players.
Passive - Pilgrimage of Enlightenment Palm: Enlightens those who challenge it to battle that conflict is meaningless by having them endlessly fight against an illusion on top of its palm, so in the end both their mind and body are exhausted. Essentially, anyone who's uses an offensive ability on him will be stunned and their ability will fail. The exception is Zeedmillenniummon. Also has a 50% chance to apply "Ordeal of the Worlds Calamity" ability.
Active - Ordeal of the Worlds Calamity: Shakamon can attempt to have a character ascend to a digivolution form each night. If that player isn't able to ascend Shakamon will be stunned the following night.



[spoiler The Adventurous 8]



 
Win Condition:The Game must at least last 8 Days & the 4 Dark Masters must be dead.
Active/Passive - The Original 8: Each night The Adventurous 8 can perform 3 actions from any of their 8 abilities.
These abilities will only be revealed to the player who gets this character after the game starts.


[spoiler Sakuyamon]



 
Win Condition: Must successfully use all of her abilities to win.
Active - Crystal Sphere: Can 100% protect one player for a night. 2 night cool down.
Active - Fox Card: Can stun one player for 2 nights. This stun bypasses passive abilities. Has a 3 night cool down.
Active - Twin blades of Beauty and Truth: Can target up to 3 players, two of these players will be swapped and 2 of these players will be linked. Has a 4 night cool down.
Active - Amethyst Mandala: Can revive 1 player, this revive ignores permanent kill. Additionally, all Villains who target Sakuyamon this night will automatically fail with their abilities. Has a 2 night cool down.



[spoiler Numemon]



 
Win Condition:All other living players must be converted into Numemon. If there is only one Numemon alive and is investigated then they lose.
Active/Passive - The Numemon Army: Once a night Numemon can target one player. During the start of the following night that player will become a Numemon and gain the same abilities. Numemon's actions will not be relayed in the night events & Observe abilities will fail.


[spoiler Susanoomon]



 
Win Condition: Susanoomon is given a list of 8 role targets at the beginning of the game by the moderator. 4 of them are heroes, 3 of them are villains, and 1 of them is a third party. Susanoomon must kill three of them by his own hand before the end of the game to win.
Active - Celestial Blade: Susanoomon can kill any player he chooses once per night. He always gets his mark, even if they are attempted to be switched or defended.
Passive - Heaven Thunder: Susanoomons great might make him nearly impossible to kill. Only when he delves in the act of murder does his protection wain. Susanoomon cannot be killed except for night he kills and nights that follow.
Active - Spirit Separation: Once a night Susanoomon can separate a portion of his combined spirit to investigate 2 players.



[spoiler Leomon]



 
Win Condition: Must successfully die by protecting a person.
Active - Brave Heart: Once a night Leomon can protect one player. If that player is targeted by a kill ability that ability will target Leomon instead.
Active - Tag Along: Leomon can permanently protect one player instead of using Brave Heart. This ability works in the same way Brave Heart does. If 2 night pass, can use this ability again. Leomon will protect both targets if this happens.

How can you tell if a 3rd is malicious, benevolent, chaotic, whatever. Also if a 3rd wins, doesn't that mean everyone else loses?

It's really hard to read the rules with them in a giant wall of text like that.

Also I got a few questions about some roles.

As such on night's when he is charging Shock Ringer only 1 ability that targets him will go through.

Which one?

I don't really get the second sentence.

So basically, it takes her 4 nights to win? okay.

Basically, a lot of things look op af. I really hope everything balances out in the end.

You can ignore the whole different type of third party bits since that was from a different mafia game. An no, the only third parties that make everyone else lose if they win is Zeed & Numemon

 

That's more a fault of the editor here then anything else.

Yeah it does but everyside is oped in some way which does balance it out. I'v also have already done this mafia on another site with no complaints. Though the players there are more used to these zany abilities then here I guess.

Active - The Appearance of a Miracle: Twice in the entire game Magnamon can tap into the Egg of Miracles to completely wipe the events of the previous Day/Night Cycles. waaaaat. overpowered af

There's one thing that it can't reverse, perma kill. But otherwise, while it is a reset button of sorts it's more used to stop catastrophic nights.

Passive - The Shining Pillar: Any vote from Magnamon counts twice. The player may vote in their character pm if they so desire regardless of what they say in the thread.

I don't really get the second sentence.

All that means is that the person playing as him could say their voting for Y in the thread but in the character pm they vote for Z instead and Z is who will be the one voted for.

Active - The Wickedness: Everytime a Demon lord is killed Leviamon can prevent the following day to skip to the next night instead. This will only happen once for each Demon Lord except itself and this ability does not take into account Higher digivolution forms. op af

Yep, it is strong, but using it assuming Daemon isn't tell is a red flag saying a Villain was killed the previous night.

Active - Fallen: Daemon will be given the roles of all who have died. In addition the deaths of others will not become public knowledge until Daemon is killed.

Passive - Even in Death: Daemon can still discuss game play while dead and may investigate 1 player every other night while dead.

Considering if he dies anyways he'll be outed since his death hiding only applies while alive it's a decent trade off. If he's perma killed he can't use it regardless.

Passive - Lustful Invitation: Laylamon will come up as a random female Hero/Third Party when investigated or Obvserved.

Win Condition: Zeed must be the last one alive in the game to win. Additionally if Zeed wins everyone else loses

Passive - True Threat to Time & Space: Zeed must be attacked by two heroes & two villains on the same night in order to die. Additionally you cannot be lynched unless you were lynched vie random.

Active - Time Destroyer: Once a night during each night you can permanently kill one person. That person cannot be revived except under specific conditions. Additionally, if Zeed is still alive by Night 6 the Digital Bands that suppress it's true power will be removed and this ability will then allow you to randomly kill half the current players each night with a three night recharge. This is just seriously seriously overpowered. Are you sure it's even possible to deal with him?

Yes, very much so, compared to other mafia characters who have the same win condition from the mafia games I'v played can actually win. This ability is actually make it not impossible for him to win. And yes there are ways to stop him. Hell, there's a character who if digivolved can kill Zeed by himself.

 

 

[spoiler Sakuyamon]

Win Condition: Must successfully use all of her abilities to win.

Active - Crystal Sphere: Can 100% protect one player for a night. 2 night cool down.

Active - Fox Card: Can stun one player for 2 nights. This stun bypasses passive abilities. Has a 3 night cool down.

Active - Twin blades of Beauty and Truth: Can target up to 3 players, two of these players will be swapped and 2 of these players will be linked. Has a 4 night cool down.

Active - Amethyst Mandala: Can revive 1 player, this revive ignores permanent kill. Additionally, all Villains who target Sakuyamon this night will automatically fail with their abilities. Has a 2 night cool down.

So basically, it takes her 4 nights to win? okay.

If you put it that way yes. However, that doesn't take into account stuns, or the person dieing.
