Card's Name: Ma-Spell-Bound


Card Type: Normal Spell Card


Lore:


Declare 1 letter from the alphabet, destroy all cards whose first letter in its name contains the declared letter. 

 

Inspiration: Scrabble and word games....each Letter/Character has it's own potential and weaknesses

 

A fast paced card effective for wiping any single archetype and it's support cards, choose the letter wisely as your cards can also be affected.

Interesting design space, hilarious outcomes considering the general archetype naming. Would only succeed on being an absolute blowout on about 60% of all archetypes, seeing that--

 

Oh, wait, it checks all parts of the name for the letter? This is very likely to wipe nearly the entire board regardless of what letter you choose! You'd might as well call this Maaccidentdyne because it's nearly impossible to do significant damage to the opponent without some collateral damage to yours.

I'm not so sure this should be quick-play... It's a non-target destruction of at least 1 card without any cost and very little downside (being careful not to call your own letter). In comparison to its brethren: Offerings to the Doomed targets and destroys 1 monster AND skips your draw phase, while MST targets. This is almost strictly better than either. It's much better suited as a non-quick-play, imo.

 

Also, a few fixes on text:
