LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Mkay so I just wanted to have a little ramble here for a bit to say some thoughts. Writing. Pretty much the only thing I feel I actually have that's worth anything is my ability to write. Despite not being good at it, I feel I can at least do interesting ideas, fight, dialogue, etc. on occasion. And honestly I have no idea where I'd be now if not for writing.But. I haven't really written for a while. Besides RPs. I've been slowly world-building one of my several worlds I've based stories in. Which is something I never really did before. Usually I go in and discover things as I go. It's pretty interesting to have an actual world being fleshed out. However I haven't gotten to actually write a story in a while. And I've started to get an urge to re-write the first story I tried to do, about...well when I was in high school. But I don't have much world-building done for it, and part of me feels like I would be wasting the time I spent world-building the other story. And then there's also part of me that's always wanted to try writing fanfiction, since fanfiction reading when I was in high school really helped grow my love for writing. So this was a ramble just to basically say how writing is important to me, and I'm trying to decide my plans. And I'm posting it because....not sure. But perhaps something someone has to say will spark an idea, or inspiration. Cause honestly...that's kinda how it works. Just something...happens, and suddenly I'm writing a complete novel. ^^; Talking about writing, on YCM, has helped me figure things out before, so maybe it will now, too. Tinkerer
I love ideas and stories. I also appreciate writing as a craft, but I tend to not be so good at sitting down and just writing. Do you have any particular genre you like writing, CwCw?

mitchermitcher
Can't help much. I love the idea of having written a novel or a story, but the actual part where you sit down and type words? I detest it. Absolutely. Just keep thinking and the slump'll go away or something. At least, that seems to be the problem you're having.
Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
Since you mentioned fanfiction, you could always try to write a fanfic for a franchise or series you really like. Even though I've never finshed anything I've written, I usually do that. Like, Pokemon for instance. Maybe not the whole journey fic thing, but something different? Think back to some of the Pokemon fic ideas I've had with mafia wars and all that, for instance.
