Pendulum Effect: 

 

You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Gladiator Beast" monster(s). This effect cannot be negated. "Gladiator Beast" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn: You can reveal 1 "Gladiator Beast" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, then shuffle Fusion Materials listed on that card from your hand and/or Graveyard into your Main Deck; Special Summon 1 of that Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions.

 

Monster Effect:

 

 

At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

 

Gladiator Beast Dracarrian (Arrian)

 

LV 2, Fire, Dragon

 

Pendulum, Scale: 10

 

1600 ATK, 200 DEF

 

Pendulum Effect: 

 

You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Gladiator Beast" monster(s). This effect cannot be negated. "Gladiator Beast" card you control, except this card, cannot be destroyed by card effects. Once per turn: You can special summon 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster from Deck or Graveyard.

(1) Once per turn: If you control no face-up monsters: You can special summon 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster from Hand or Graveyard. 

 

Monster Effect:

 

(1) If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Gladiator Beast"monster: You can place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

 

(2) At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked, you can place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

 

You can only use each effect of Gladiator Beast Dracarrian once per turn, and only once that turn.

I like how they are searchable by the GB tag mechanic.

Though, it'd help a ton if they could be placed on the scales when Summoned by the effect of a GB instead, if not in addition to.

 

Btw, are the scales so wide? I don't recall a GB going lower than Level 3 or higher than Level 6, at least from the Main Deck.

 

The Pendulum Effects are pretty sweet protection, but I think the other effects are a tad overboard. 1 card Fusions and unrestricted Summon from the deck? basically having both scales guarantees a free indestructible Gyzarus from the deck. It'd be a tad more fair if the contact Fusion had the materials used from elsewhere instead of downright reducing them. Something along the lines of Once per turn: You can use a Fusion Material from the hand or Extra Deck (face-up) for the Summon of a "GB" Fusion Monster. The other scale's effect, I think it is overkill. It should probably only be live when you have no monsters or something like that, as to recover from a wipe of some sort, but if you already have the advantage with a Gyzarus play, you can pretty much swarm all around with this free monster every turn. Heck you can even go Bestiary to contact Gyzarus into another Gyzarus for a 4 card pop without any extra investment.

 

The fact they are Pendulums I think already gives them something to fall back on if their Normal Summon is interrupted, which is already a great boost on its own.

So something like if they were special summoned by a GB they can be put in scales?

Augustus is lv 8 and they have a couple of level 3's 

 

I suppose I could make it 2 and 9 if you would like and bump Drac to lv3

I will add a must control no monster clause to the second scale, but the first one does require you to shuffle from the hand or grave, so either late game or a neg ceiling boost

Changed pendulum 2 from being a Grave/Deck toobox to a hand/grave toolbox instead
