Recommended Posts

Once upon a time, a lone girl goes to the 3rd floor of school's bathroom, knock 3 times on the 3rd door from the far end before asking, "Are you there, Hanako-san," she hear a voice answer, "I'm here." Then she chooses to enter the stall . . .

DARK/Level 3

Fiend/Tuner/Effect

If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish this card. If 3 or more monsters are Summoned, 3 or more cards are sent to the Graveyard and 3 or more cards or effects are activated while this card is banished this way: You can Special Summon this banished card and if you do, return 1 monster on the field to its owner's hand. If this card is Special Summoned by its own effect, banish it when it leaves the field. You can only Special Summon "Hanako-san" once per turn this way.

Just a simple card based on Japanese lore "Hanako of the Toilet".

The Special Summon requirements refer to how Hanako in urban legend, 3rd floor, knock 3 times, and the 3rd door.

Bouncing effect refer to person who perform the call freaking out, scared and run away.

I honestly expected some stall-based card to create a title pun.

Still, it's a pretty decent and flexible card that can find its use in many situations, both on the offense and defense. If timed correctly during an opponent's turn she can absolutely mess up a play by tossing a wrench in the combo.

Hey look it's pseudo-BA support. Nukes all of the ones that aren't negated, but other than that, it's support.

You could use it as a pseudo-gardna against combo decks, but it might just get spun back to the deck, not to mention Pendulum usually only sends a couple of cards to the Graveyard anyway. No-target compulse would make it worth using against some Decks, though.
Also, would it require that everything happens at once? In that case, the card is mostly useless, since that would never happen simultaneously.

According to the legend, a person who goes to the third stall in the girls' bathroom on the third floor and knocks three times before asking, "Are you there, Hanako-san," will hear a voice answer, "I'm here." If the person chooses to enter the stall, there will be a small girl in a red skirt.

Hanako-san is a popular and widespread urban legend, often played by school children as a rite of courage, or a method of hazing for new students, similar to the Bloody Mary urban legend in Western schools.

Based on how I'm reading the card, it looks at a tally of the requirement. Though to be fair, the condition would use past tense to make it clear that it checks a tally.

My original plan actually goes with some counter-based stall effect, but scrapped it since it has ridiculously long text and too much counter (3 different kind of counters in 1 card, with different effects), then yea i change it.

Oh Pendulum . . . missed that, ill add ". . . cards is sent to the Graveyard or added face-up to the Extra Deck . . .".

yes, everything must happen at once (1 turn) in order to summon it, hmmm but i have other idea instead of whole thing in 1 turn to SS her by own effect, which is a difficult requirement, i'll change it to make it easier (buts still follow lore-wise effect).
