Radiant Divine Bird Vene & Primal Cry

Radiant Divine Bird Vene

LIGHT/Fairy/Ritual/8/2800/2000/Effect:

You can Ritual Summon this card with "Primal Cry". Once per turn: You can reveal 1 monster in your hand, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; this turn, that target's level becomes the revealed monster's. Once per turn, if another monster(s0 in your hand or side of the field is Tributed: You can target 1 monster in your Graveyard; add it to your hand.

Primal Cry

Ritual Spell

This card is used to Ritual Summon "Radiant Divine Bird Vene". You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal 8 or more. During your End Phase: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 Ritual Monster in your Graveyard that was sent there from the field this turn; Special Summon it.

I want to discuss these again now that we have the core of the Cyber Angel.dek fully revealed. When first revealed, no one really saw a place for these but I feel like there's legitimate potential in Cyber Angels. Searchable by Pre-Prep, Manju/Senju, Benten and Ritual Sanctuary so getting Vene or Cry into your hand shouldn't be too difficult. Your Manju/Senju/Petits become able to pay for an entire Cyber Angel summon themselves with this and you're able to constantly recycle them OR Benten through the second effect. Primal Cry enables Vene himself to be used for the cost of Dakini (or Vishnu in the future) and then come back. If you're running Red Resonator for the Red + Petit= Arc Light play, you could even make some cute Ultimaya Tzolkin  plays as an alt strategy and get Vene back with Primal Cry afterwards. Rank 8 plays are also a possibility. The biggest downside over Saffira is that Level 8 is a bit more difficult to summon right off the bat but in the long run, I feel this has more synergy and potential in the deck ultimately.

what if we use both it and saffira and just have excessively silly combos and recycling

I was gonna say something similar, but I realized he didn't actually say "use this instead of Sapphy". It actually feels like a given using both.

As for this thing, yeah, it's really nice. It's heavily searchable as well. The hardest part is definitely fielding it and having it stick around long enough to get good value off it.

In general though, I've found the continuous spell "Ascending Soul" to do this card's main job nearly as well (since you're probably trying to cycle Ben 10 mostly) and a TON more cheaply since you're burning at least 2 cards to field Vene and you can't get its effect off on its own tributes.

Well, I tried combining Bird with saffire with cyber angels and it wasn't as good as it sounds. Yes it sounds good in paper but that requires you to run 3 different ritual spell cards that can only summon a certain one. In this deck its more common to open with machine angel ritual with a bird or saffira or The spell to summon the bird or saffira but you only have cyber angels in your hand. aits simply inconsistance.

Although a divine bird with cyber angels is really powerful indeed. If you already have THIS or a ritual monster on your field, you can tribute it to summon another ritual monster and during the end phase, you can revive the tributed monster, and if it was daikini, you can also use its effect when it is special summoned.

Maybe I just happen to be really lucky then, but my build involving the Cyber Angels, Vene, Saffira, and Herald seems to work well 9 times out of 10. The field spell in particular is a lifesaver, giving you the ability to interchange your rituals so you always have precisely what you need.

Back onto the topic though, has anyone found Vene's level modulation effect super helpful? I found it more useful as a way of going into R6/R8 than using the monster as a full ritual tribute. The ritual spell's grave effect does come in handy sometimes.
