Insect/Effect

Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned from your hand by banishing any number of Insect-Type monsters from your hand or graveyard and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This cards ATK becomes equal to the number of monsters banished by this cards effect times 800. Once per turn, during either players turn: you can target 1 face-up attack position monster your opponent controls; change that monster to defence position. While this card is face-up, all "Spider" monsters you control gain the following effect.

* If this card attacks a defence position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.

You can only control 1 face-up "Gigantic Spider".

Ooh, Spider support. I like how it's a parallel to Machina Cannon so it can be a free 0/2800 to push things into Defense Position and set up other Spider effects. Not completely easy with the fact that it needs 4 or more insects to reach significant ATK scores but since it can banish monsters from the Graveyard it can be a surprise beater in a pinch.

 

I feel it can do a little more. I'm feeling either piercing on all Spiders or the ability for Spiders to attack while in Defense Position can be helpful.
