towitori
3 Level 5 Monsters3 Level 5 MonstersIf this card is Xyz Summoned using 3 DARK monsters: Destroy all monsters your opponent controls. If this card attacks a non-DARK monster: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate that monster's effects and its ATK becomes 0. You can only use this effect of "Erebus the Primal Darkness" once per turn. Pretty straightforward card, yes?
vla1ne
definitely very decent/ my largest critique would be that the 2nd effect is somewhat worse than catastor. my advice would be to remove the LIGHT restriction and ATK drop. actually, the ATK drop might be able to stay, but yeah, putting 3 dark monsters, or even just 3 level 5 monsters on the field is a decent accomplishment, and throwing them into a rank 5 monster is a rather large investment. you may as well make the negation/drop generic. Snatch Steal
In what instance would you get 3 level 5 monsters out? It makes up for the cost a bit with its massive stats, but its effect seems underwhelming, since it only applies to LIGHT monsters. Also, its DEF is really high. Usually, a monster with 3000+ ATK makes up for it with restrictions, lower defense, or both. 3k ass is always big. Maybe you could make it in Vampires, but they're not all too viable. Break Sword comes to mind, but I'm not sure how that would work out either. Seeing as there's no way to actually get it out without a hassle, I might make it a lower risk, lower reward card, so you can at least get it out. Sluggaholic
Holy crap, if the whole "DARK" clause wasn't an issue, Chronomalys would finally have another Rank 5 to go into besides Tiras, Volca, Mech, and Digvorzhak. Of course, they wouldn't exactly want to make this unless it was completely necessary, because its effect is rather specific. I think that it'd be better if you changed that second effect to be more general, like Catastor's, in that it's all non-DARK monsters that get the boot vs. only LIGHT monsters getting said boot. Not only would it make this card more viable, but it'd just be a nice card for any Rank 5 deck out there (that can get 3 Level 5s on the field easy enough). Overall, a very nice card! Though, I'd drop the DEF by about 800-1000 points, but that's just me.

Grand Magus
It seems everyone here is forgetting that Rank-Up-Magic The Phantom Knights of Launch is a thing. It turns this into a Quick-Play Raigeki on a 3300 body.

Grand Magus
That Rank-Up Magic attaches itself to the monster thus not activating the monster's effect since it asks when all materials are DARK monsters when it was Xyz Summoned.. Technically, it was Special Summoned using only DARK monsters, since Launch says "Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 DARK Xyz Monster that is 1 Rank higher than that monster you control, by using it as the Xyz Material, and if you do, attach this card to the Summoned monster as Xyz Material." That implies Launch attaches itself after the summon.

That implies Launch attaches itself after the summon. When this card is Xyz Summoned, if all 3 of this cards' Xyz materials are DARK monsters: destroy all monsters your opponent controls. If this card attacks a non-DARK monster: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate that monster's effects and its ATK becomes 0. You can only use this effect of "Erebus the Primal Darkness" once per turn. pretty simple fix then. now RUM doesn't trigger the effect, and it retains the reward for summoning it using all DARK monsters. also, Vanishing Lanius + Mimicry Lanius + Pain Lanius = Raigeki. beautiful combo right there. Trebuchet MS
Obligatory accompanying music: As for the card wording, I propose: If this card is Xyz Summoned using 3 DARK monsters: Destroy all monsters your opponent controls. (rest of card unedited)Yeah, 3x LV5 DARK monsters is a tricky feat unless you're doing something like Raidraptors, Vampires, or Cheerful Coffin in Dark World. Getting a Raigeki this way is worth the effort. Effect is a pretty nice way to hose most monsters it attacks since it's a non-targeting negation that also causes an auto-win in most cases. A shame it won't render any Pendulum Monsters it kills perma-dead. Not bad, though.
