vla1ne
Ok, i'm not going to tell you to watch the entire video, it's 44 minutes, and I know some people don't have the time or patience, to watch in depth videos. but if you can't, then please at least look at the time stamps i placed down here before commenting. places of note near the end:29:3336:0038:3339:36-end if you can't watch anything else, this right here at least, is mandatory to understanding the point of the discussion. [spoiler=my own thoughts and points]summing it up, recently i've seen a lot of people claiming trump was somehow racist for his comments, now, not all of it came from here, and not everybody here did it, but i find it incredibly ignorant, that people would claim such a thing over something as simple as a complaint about a ruling, now, this video grants a rather logical foundation for the complaint while hammering home a dissonance that i've been noticing recently, and while it does fail to cover some niche arguments, it handles the main ones very well imo. (GigaDrillBreaker)
I mean when someone acts like a prejudiced prick 99% of the time, it is relatively safe to assume they are acting like a prejudiced prick in a given situation where it seems they may be. vla1ne
arrogant and prejudiced are two different things. trump is arrogant, but the attitude he had with the judge was the same one he has with everyone else. he does not discriminate or change his tone regardless of who he is talking to. it might be more noticable wen the races are different, but it is there for all races, yes, he's an arrogant prick, but he has never gone far enough to be called prejudiced. his comments towards the judge were arrogant, but they were in no way prejudiced. he is crap at explaining himself, his policies were shambles during his initial run, and his attitude is understandably a turnoff for the more politically correct among us, but he has never once been racist, sexist, or prejudiced. it has simply been twisted that way by people in the media. i can respect proper criticism, but things like calling him racist, or prejudiced are just not accurate. Dad
He lost me when he said "the screaming of racism is the most racist thing in America today". He had made fine points until he opened his mouth and said something entirely stupid.
vla1ne
He lost me when he said "the screaming of racism is the most racist thing in America today". He had made fine points until he opened his mouth and said something entirely stupid.he's not completely wrong though. in many cases, people pull the racist card too often nowadays, yeah, racism still exists, can't deny it, but people are being called racist, sexist, and all other manner of things far too often. the "racist" card is pulled too often these days, and it really does qualify as racist to use the race card as a weapon, especially where there's no grounds for it. Dad
His reasoning is solid, and I agree that the race card is used a lot when it's not warranted. But to say that's the most racist thing happening in the country is pretty damn stupid.
vla1ne
fair, but it (the race card) is covered enough in the media and articles that it's an understandable conclusion to come to.
Dad
fair, but it (the race card) is covered enough in the media and articles that it's an understandable conclusion to come to. I'll agree to an extent. Agree to disagree? Is that the way to say that? funk IDK. What I'm saying is I understand the argument. There.
vla1ne
no, i agree with you that it's pretty ignorant to call it the most racist thing in the country, but it's an understandable claim, considering it's being applied to higher level politics/ media coverage.
