Equip only to a monster with a Level. If the equipped monster is used as an Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon, you can treat this card as a monster with the same Attribute, Level, Type, and Effect as the equipped monster.

 

Cnc plz? I'm trying to make cards from the anime work in the actual card game. How good is this?

I'd still word it differently.

 

Something along the lines of "If you would ever Xyz Summon an Xyz Monster, you can use this card as an Xyz Material with the same level as the equipped monster"

So to say the least, I know what you mean.

 

Um, It's pretty good, since it guarantees you'll get at least 1 Xyz Monster out even if you brick. This is also searchable with Hidden Armory, so if you can go without your NS, you'll be able to get a pretty penny off of it.

 

Also, I'm not sure what type it would be, nor its attribute, which are both important in an Xyz summon.

I'd just have it copy the Type/Attribute of the targeted monster as well; that should solve the issue with it having none of those types (and would allow you to Xyz Summon certain monsters, well those without Archetype requirements). Or really, I'd just make it Special Summon itself as a "copy" of the monster with 0 ATK and DEF as a Normal Spell; you lose Hidden Armory searching though. (I get what you're trying to go for, though)

 

But like Snatch mentioned, at least it lets you Xyz Summon stuff if you can't field multiple monsters right away for specific Levels (though nowadays, most Decks should be able to do it if they're built properly), so that works.

Thanks for the advice guys! I'm going to make some of these edits. I also did Xyz Crown, so I can probably make similar edits to that.
