Snatch Steal
squeal. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Yellow Luma seems to be in the Deck for consistency. It’s pretty much an Upstart Goblin that’s a bit more archetype-specific. Fortunately, you can use One for One to summon it, although 500 isn’t very much LP. Its ATK is also quite small, which fits its relatively unintimidating demeanor. I wonder if it would be more handy if it were a tuner? Pull Star Luma is kind of mediocre. All of the Lumas have their own inherent summons, so running too many of this would probably be brick-tastic. Its other effect seems pretty mediocre, too; if Aromas can’t do much with a little LP gain, I can’t see this doing much with it either. I’ll review Hungry Luma with Comet Observatory. Apricot Luma helps with…uh, attack gain? There don’t seem to be much to these cards outside of just weird gimmicks and swarming so far. This one is half decent since it has synergy with LIGHT monsters, but again, none of these so far are tuners, and all of their effects are just swarm-based. Green Luma obviously seems to be the most helpful out of all of them so far. It’s got easy search mechanics, allowing you to quickly and easily grab whatever Luma you may need. However, I wonder how useful any of the other Lumas are. Lumalee also helps, enough to warrant the use of more Pull Stars. It seems to make up for its level and usage of your Normal Summon by netting you a little advantage. Not sure how much you’d get out of it, though, since you don’t have a lot of things you can do with them. Red Star seems to be a better version of Yellow, since it doesn’t require you to control no monsters. The draw makes up for its summon, meaning it’s pretty much a free monster. You could always use Mystic Piper or Kinka Byo with it, too. so it seems you don’t like Burning Abyss :^)Rosalina is definitely basic at first glance, but the negation is extremely important. It negates Dante, easily the most important monster in all of Burning Abyss. Unfortunately, though, it does target, which means Kozmo isn’t hindered by it. Shine is probably the reason why none of these are tuners, because if they were, it would probably spell doom for a lot of Decks. Even so, if you net enough resources in grave while you’ve got this and maybe a soul charge, I’d estimate you could do with only a couple of tuners. Not to mention that some of them get effects when they’re summoned, or can summon more monsters. The protection from this card seems quite extensive. The second effect doesn’t really seem helpful unless you got a Luma with upwards of 2000 ATK. Maybe Rosalina could pull it off, but I wouldn’t want to tribute her often unless I had Shine. Oh hey, here’s the anti-kozmo I was looking for. Definitely helpful, since it lets you get rid of pesky Kozmo monsters like Dark Destroyer, and then float so you can quickly make another one. I’d honestly use Compulse just to return it and make another one. To say the least, it’s pretty cool and helpful. Overall, these cards, while somewhat underwhelming, have a few tricks up their sleeves that warrant their use. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Sorry for lazy review, I have to go to bed.
