TOLD YOU I'D FIND A USE FOR THAT SUBHEADER!! (to know what in the blarney stones I'm talking about, here:) http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/354734-madolche-heiress-scoldscone-also-generic-rank-3sike/

Anyways-to this card. I THINK I may have slapped too many effects on it, I'm not sure.

But it actually looks the closest to a Madolche card yet, so I'm ending the Sweet Week of Madolche with it.

Behold, the royal tutor of Madolche, Tartetrader!!

[spoiler=Madolche Tartetrader: Errata]

Continuous Trap Card

Lore: While you control a "Madolche" Xyz Monster, your opponent cannot add cards to their hand, except by drawing them. You can only use each of these effects of "Madolche Tartetrader" once per turn.
• When you Summon a "Madolche Puddingcess" monster: You can draw 1 card.
• During either player's turn, if there are no "Madolche" monsters in your Graveyard and this card is in your Spell & Trap Card Zone: You can declare a number from 3 to 5: Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (EARTH/Warrior-Type/Level ?/1700 ATK/1700 DEF). (When Summoned, its Level becomes the number you declared.) (This card is NOT treated as a Trap Card.)

Review, revel, you know the drill, let's get to spelunking.

BDS, signing off.

UPDATE: Card's static effect is more Mistake-like. Because reasons.

A card that discourages adding from the Graveyard? It's pretty mediocre. But the self-Summoning effect is kind of cute, though. You can either set up Tiaramisu or a-la-Mode. Or Levair the Sea Dragon if you wanted to.

However, for the last effect, you might want to make it "If this card", as opposed to "When this card", so it doesn't miss timing (unless that's what you intended).

It's another cute effect, though (well, given you pull it off).

Thanks.

The intent of the effect was to try and turn off all the other attempts at hand retrieval people seem to be getting at these days. Kozmo and Monarchs especially grab stuff from the banished zone and this prevents that. Also, thanks for looking out for the small error - goodness if I'll know why that much word placement screws up timing. (but, hey, I was the one who got anal retentive on the colon-semicolon combo in these cards, so baby steps.)

Changing the card's first effect, tho. You made a good point about its small worth and this was NOT what I originally placed up for it.

Good.

Now it discourages adding to the hand. And this could help Madolche set up plays without your opponent disturbing you. You probably knpw how often their plays are disrupted.

This card is pretty cool, but since it prevents all searching it feels a bit overpowered, maybe if it was only once per turn. I mean I know Thunder King Rai-Oh exists, but it at least has the decency to prevent searching for both opponents, and its still limited. Of course I'm not that keen on Madolches, so if they aren't great at searching maybe this card is more balanced than I think.

Preventing your opponent from disrupting your plays is the name of the game Tartetrader is playing. Madolches are good, but fragile, like the Ritual Beasts. Find a way to nuke out their normal summon, and they're one and done. This makes your opponent's setup just as hassling as your own-levels the playing field. And you need to have a Madolche Xyz to do this-not that easy when you take the aforementioned problem into account.

And really, besides Ticket, Madolche doesn't search out that well. It field-bridges through stuff like Hootcake and Anjelly. And this also helps by becoming another monster to assist their Xyz Summoning efforts-alongside my other support, like the one in the link in my post.
