The Nyx Avatar
LORE:Duirng either player's turn, if you have 1000 Life Points or less and you control no monsters: You can discard this card; Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard, ignoring it's Summoning conditions. You can only activate the effect of "Glimpse of Hope" once per turn.
Darj
At first I was concerned about this card being misused, so to speak, for FTKs, alternate win conditions and such. I mean, getting down 1000 LP or less can already be done by some burn FTKs or pseudo-FTKs (what come to mind are those "Hope Exodia" variants), so making this card live early-game shouldn't be too difficult. However, rulings state that monsters that have not been Summoned properly cannot be revived by effects that ignore Summoning conditions so if you wanted to abuse this by, lets say, milling Horakhty, burning yourself and then reviving it with this to win the duel, then it simply wouldn't be possible. So I guess it should be safe on that regard. Or, if there is indeed a way to abuse it as an FTK/OTK deck, that kind of decks are rarely viable and are more of casual decks anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem either. Hypothetical potential abusability aside, this card looks nice for Level1 decks. You can do cute plays like Summoning Piper, Tribute it so you don't control any monster, and then revive it again with this card for an extra draw; plus it is searchable by Arf Thou. But other than Level1 decks, I don't see it shining in other places, given its relatively risky and late-game activation requirements. Still, IMO it's good, as far as casual cards go. Arthiee09
Looks generic and easily abuses the Eff of Gale Dogra, Dragons Shrine/Ravine, or just some Good cards in the grave, but is insane limited for the -1000 eff, maybe you can buff it :)

Arthiee09
But wouldn't that just contradict what you just stated? No, just said it can abuses some eff, but is not that good because the conditions. Actually, it hard to see duels on 1000 or lower Life Points, usually the duel it's decided by the 1°/2° turn, maybe some strange otk's can use it, or some specific Decks that have some defensive options. I said that's good, but it could be better :)

Arthiee09
What did you have in mind? 2000 Life Points?Maybe... I think that can be also other conditions, like "discard your entire hand (min. 1)", "cannot Special Summon anymore this turn" or something based on Life Points Difference too. In my head, "discard your entire hand" condition will open a window of opportunity, also limit some Insane Combos, no one like OTK's/FTK's hahahah

See, the reason behind the name and effect is that this card is to be used as a glimpse of hopep or last resort if things look dire.
