Darj
Looks like someone really wants to offset the cost of Pot of Desires. So, this is a 2-for-2 card exchange, and has a hard OPT to keep it in check in case face-down banishment becomes a manipulable mechanic (e.g. banishing face-down specific cards to retrieve them later for combos or extended plays). But I'm not sure if is a healthy card to make. I mean, in combo with Desires it practically becomes a "Discard 1 card: Add to your hand any 2 cards from the next 10+ cards on the top of your Deck" which in a way is akin to an stronger Pot of Duality, and without the Special Summon lock. It also works with Toon Kingdom for a similar effect, although it is not as rewarding as Desires. But, either you play it along Desires, or you don't play it at all...I guess the card would be fine if Desires didn't exist, which is kinda ironic assuming you made this to ease the cost of Desires in the first place.I think what you can do about this card is something among the lines of:Add 1 of your banished cards to your hand, and send 1 to the Graveyard face-up. You can only activate "Salvaged from Oblivion" once per turn.(No discard cost) That way, you remove the potential of recovering 2 combo and/or power cards, while keeping the card somewhat creative with a second effect instead of a single, bland one.Actually... I forgot the rulings on face-down banished cards. Can the owner freely check them or not? What was the ruling issued for "PSY-Framelord Omega" regarding the recovery of face-down banished cards? Because if you can't check them, then this card loses power by not being able to pinpoint the card(s) you want from the face-down banished ones. leafbladie
You are allowed to freely check face-down banished cards, you have to, in order to ensure you don't make illegal moves. The only way to recover them is through Necroface and Elemental Hero Electrum I believe. So yeah, this card is way too strong as is if run alongside Pot of Desires
