Some praise and some quibbles:

• Yahenni feels more BG than anything. To quote Reddit, "They're not chaotic, they're just hedonistic, but with a serious interest in helping their friends. Also, they feel kind of connected to everything, and their philosophy is pretty BG." That last bit is pretty important, as BG as a color pair best exemplifies the cycle of life and death, and Yahenni was pretty direct about how aetherborn are born from the aether and return to it upon death. The exile ability also fits that color combo more: black and green are the two colors that "mulch" your graveyard the most.
• I'm gonna say go with function over flavor and make Yahenni's upkeep cost fixed. (Maybe EE?) Cumulative upkeep is such a jabroni to keep track of, and it's particularly jarring since the last time we saw it was Coldsnap and since it's a nonreturning mechanic.
• "Whenever a nontoken creature dies, you may exile that card. If you do, you get E equal to its converted mana cost."
• Do they have any outlet ability for the energy? Maybe pay EEEE => buff something.
