The Nyx Avatar
Griffith for this one. Say what you want about the other characters, but Griffith (putting in spoilers, despite not being that detailed): [spoiler=Show]Betrayed his allies and shows no remorse for doing so. ~British Soul~
Tingle is the only one I remotely know from the bunch (and I nominated him) and he is somewhat annoying, so he gets my vote.

~ P O L A R I S ~
Just finished watching Berserk '97 over the past week and Griffith is easily my favourite anime character, I don't hate him at all. [spoiler=Views on Griffith with spoilers]He's absolutely a self-sacrificing good guy who lays his life on the line until the final episode, by which point he's been tortured for a year, can't speak or walk (needs to be carried), and is possessed by a demon object that's chosen him. In the final episode the demons do their thing with the hollow tortured shell of Griffith as a host, overwhelming him and convincing him it's all his doing. He's shown to hesitate and resist before being turned by the demons who are pretty intent on sacrificing Griffith's comrades anyway. I feel Griffith is a really sympathetic, human, thoughtful, and well-written character who ends up mired in the abyss after years of violence. It happens.
