Sorry! Didn't mean to startle you like that.

But did you seriously write me out that fast? Geez, talk about a tough break.

Well basically I wanted to get it done fast so I could get someone else in ASAP since the RP depends on all the people being around ^^;

But didn't exactly write him out just removed specific mention of him in the IC posts.

I'd love to be a part of this 'later' group.

Name - Jordan Carter

gender - Female

Age - 19

Tarot card - The Tower

[spoiler=Appearance]A cocasian girl, 6-7, brown eyes, ripped brown shorts, orange jacket exposed to a white undershirt. Orange Brown short Hair, almost like a tomboy.

[spoiler=Backstory]Backstory: She lived on a farm with her daddy, until the day The Tower came. Suddenly her world warped around her. Her father was gone. The farm was gone. She was in the middle of a crater, and she knew what had happened. The only thing that still stood was a small portion of the barn. She became temporarily mad, walking over to the barn, and tearing it to shreds until she saw a chest containing her grandpappy's deck. Her madness lost hold, and she realized that someone was behind her. She turned to see a man of tall stature, even taller than her. He said,"I know how you feel", and offered her a job under the great Zadicus. She accepted, because as far as she knew, they didn't have any synchro users. She had many missions when, all of a sudden, she had gotten an invitation to a party for tarot holders. She got many answers and met Zaddicus himself. When she went inside her tower for the 2nd time, she saw a gaping hole-like void. It sucked her and her tower inside, Jordan terrified. She knew something was up.

[spoiler=Personality]She is smart as a whip and just like her tower, in her words,"I take no stuff from no Spells 'er Traps!" She is sassy and will use your words against you. While in pain or stress, she has habit of sayin,"You gotta try a little bit harder than that to beat me!" She won't give up unless you somehow break he spirit. But in worst cases, she becomes mad, even blood thirsty because of her grief. But above all, she is loyal to Zadicus through and through. She can also be devious, deceiving the cunningest person.

[spoiler=Deck]She runs a modified "Yang Zing" Deck,using the level of Tower to sommon high level synchro monsters, especially her trump card, "Linghun, Spirit of the Yang Zing". https://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/360513-linghun-soul-of-the-yang-zing/ She also holds his father's signature card, "Stardust Spark Dragon".

[spoiler=Powers] She, as a summoner, has the ability to sommon the monsters from her tablets. She also has had extensive training with her dagger, but is still barely skilled with it. But, when she goes mad, o boy, it gets serious. She's almost like Yuya while synchronized while mad. She won't care and will do terrible things to you.

Sorry for being late, dear, but, as I say, there's a time and place for everything.

Now, as to this girl of yours...I must say that I do not think she's a good fit. I must be picky, you see, don't want a disaster to happen. And she just does not cut it. The application is brief, vague, and has plenty of mistakes. I can't accept this character into my precious Arena so easily.

[spoiler=Summoner]

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Name: Masaru Drysden

Alias: "Prince of Slimes"

Age: Twenty-three

Sex: Male

Race: Human

[spoiler=Appearance]

Image (but older looking, so you know, more defined cheekbones, less of a babyface, etc etc)

Masaru is 5'9" (175.25 CM) and 168 LBS (76.2 KG), and is slimmer than most people would expect of a guild member. He is lean, with noticeable muscle definition in his arms and legs, but he isn’t really muscular. His hair (which is manageable now that he finally got it cut) is casually stylish, and he makes sure to spend a few seconds in front of the mirror every morning gelling it and ruffling it so he maintains that look. His eyes have a very bright blue tone to them, more blue than even a cloudless summer sky, and they're generally the first thing people notice about him, alongside his overwhelmingly cheesy smile. The last thing to note is often the most overlooked, though people think that it would be the most noticed thing about him: his left arm is entirely made of metal. A mixture of magic and technology, it functions almost as well as his actual arm did.

His outfit has changed since his time at Cherry Heart as well. He has exchanged shorts and thin, short-sleeved t-shirts for a scarf, jacket, long sleeves, gloves, jeans, and a sturdy pair of boots. Thicker clothes than he ever wore at Cherry Heart, to conceal his arm.

Masaru also has an enchanted tattoo on the underside of his right forearm. It looks like a typical scroll, save for the Cherry Heart symbol at the top of it, but the rest is completely blank. It's magically connected to Cherry Heart's local database, which uses the tattoos of members to keep track of them and their locations, and Masaru can use it to pull up information on the members of his old guild. Information is frozen while in the Smash dimension, so it can only access information it had before Masaru was taken.

[spoiler=Biography]

PREVIOUS:

Masaru has little to no memory of what his life was like up until he was eight years old. From what he has been told he was found a few hours off of the shore by a group of fishermen, sound asleep in a beat up raft with a few slimes bouncing around him protectively. Nobody really has an idea where he came from before that, but the best guess is that he was originally from the tropical islands that were a day’s sailing off the coast. The theory is backed up by the fact that around that time period a vicious and unexplained magic fell upon the islands, corrupting them and killing almost all of the inhabitants. Masaru found out later in his life that some magical guilds were hired to go and check out what had happened, but they never returned. Passing ships began to vanish when they sailed too close to them as well, and eventually, a superstition grew around them. To this day, not a soul will dare to sail too close.

Regardless, Masaru was taken in by one John Smith, a man who had gone on the fishing trip but was, ironically, the village’s blacksmith. He had a wife and daughter, the latter of whom was just a few years younger than the mystery boy that he had brought under his roof, and the family’s smithy was known far and wide for the quality of the craft they produced. Masaru lived a relatively normal childhood after that, though he never really clicked with the other children in the village, mostly because of the troupe of slimes that followed him everywhere. Most of his days were spent doing the basic maintenance work around the smithy, like fueling the forge or sharpening swords. John tried at one point to teach him a basic knowledge of smithing, but Masaru’s natural tendency to be a klutz caused a few injuries and they decided against it.

When Masaru turned sixteen, the sense of being out of place got to him and he decided it was time to travel from the village he had grown up and see what else the world had to offer. He had mooched off of the Smith family too much, he thought, and it was time he figured out what he wanted to do. John and his family didn’t contest it at all, understanding what he was feeling, but the man and women who had basically raised him did convince him to hold his trip off for a few weeks while they prepared a going away gift. Reluctantly, he did, and the two famous smith’s (with a bit of help from their daughter), forged the best sword that Masaru had ever laid eyes on: Arctus, a blade as blue as the slime he summoned, and one that seemingly hummed with power.

Masaru broke down and cried when they handed it and the ornate sheath they had purchased to him, thanking the family for everything they had done for him. They were the closest he had ever known to a family, and to him, they were the best family someone could ask for. Regardless, the time eventually came for him to go, and with a smile so bright it could blind someone, Masaru set out on his journey. He would have no way of getting word of the tragedy that befell them after he left, and wasn’t capable of knowing that Mena was on her own, or he would have turned around immediately.

But instead, he kept moving in the opposite direction, to start his new journey. Spoiler alert: it was boring. Masaru’s quests mostly consisted of testing the limits of his Summon Magic, sparring against shadows with Arctus until his arms turned to noodles, and occasionally beating up very weak monsters. Occasionally, he would find someone who was willing to offer him a tip or trick on magic, but it wasn’t often. Three years of traveling around, and he would catch wind that the legendary guild Cherry Heart was accepting again. He decided that if they would take someone as weak as him, it was the best way to get stronger; he was bound to meet tons of powerful mages in a place like that.

UPDATE:

Masaru worked tirelessly as a member of Cherry Heart for a year, aiding in restoring the guild's name to its former glory. In that time, due to his... overly friendly nature, he befriended nearly every member of the guild to some degree. He eventually left the guild, though, due to feeling inadequate when he was measured up against most of the other members. They were all getting stronger every day, and he was stuck in the same place, always known as the guild's jester. Someone to be protected, a liability in a serious fight.

So he set out on his own, vowing to not come back until he had gotten stronger. He immediately encountered the glaring flaw in his genius plan: he didn't have any idea where to start. He roamed around for a little while, just helping out where he could, but eventually he decided to go home. Not back home to the village where John Smith had raised him, but back to his actual home, the mysterious islands where he had been born. Others had tried, and most, if not all of them were dead, but... he was out of ideas.

So, Masaru acquired a boat and set out for the islands. The sailing was rough as soon as he get close, as if even the ocean itself was trying to push him away, but he braved the storm and made it to shore. It was...

Horrible. That was the only way to describe it. He couldn't remember what his home had been like before, but he had researched it. It was supposedly a beautiful place, the hottest vacation spot around, but he couldn't see that at all. There wasn't a trace of life - no plants, no animals, nothing. He couldn't even see the sun anymore. And worst of all, he had found several humanoid skeletons.

The longer he stayed and the further he delved, the stranger it got. But strangest of all, Masaru began to remember. Bits and pieces of the memories he had been missing for over a decade began to come back to him. What had happened to his home, how he had ended up floating in the sea, all of it.

The islands he was on - the islands he was from - were called Faye Islands. He had lived there until he was eight, when a dark mage from Yggdrasil had done... something. It was fuzzy, but whatever it was, it had ruined the islands. It unleashed shadowy creatures on the residents, creatures that sucked the life out of anything they came near. Plants. Bugs. People.  They had killed his parents. He'd barely escaped himself, in a beat-up little boat, with only his toy Slime Staff to remember his home and his parents by.

It had been a terrible thing for him to learn, but it also pushed him to get stronger. It was the motivation he needed. Masaru spent the next few months exploring the island, and discovered several magical items, including his gun, Remembrance. He used them to survive against the shadows that infested Faye Islands, while he investigated further into what had happened.

Eventually, unbelievably, he found the mage responsible for it all at the center of the islands. He was a madman, obsessed with becoming a god, and was using the shadows - a failed experiment - to further that goal. Masaru tried to fight him, but it was a complete thrashing for the most part. The dark mage eventually grew bored and left the islands, ending the curse that they were inflicted with, but he took Masaru's arm before he did.

If it was anyone else, it probably would have been a harsh blow, but Masaru bounced back quickly. He went back to land and got an artificial replacement for his arm, and if anything, he was better off after that. Sure, he hadn't won the fight, but he hadn't died. That meant he was getting stronger, which meant it was time for his grand return to Cherry Heart.

Except he was snatched out of his dimension before he could get there. Life's a b****, huh?

[spoiler=Personality]
Masaru is generally a very laidback person. He drifts through life at his own pace, more than happy to waste away the day doing something as menial as cloud-gazing, or just lazing around with his friends. That isn't to say he's lazy, far from it, but Masaru greatly enjoys downtime between all the excitement in his life. It's probably a lingering habit from growing up in a small fishing village, where everything was slow-paced, so living in the big city can sometimes be a bit much for him.

Don't let that fool you though. If you looked up extrovert in the dictionary, you would find a picture of Masaru. He wants to make friends with anyone and anything that he meets, be they a king or a street sweeper. He just genuinely enjoys having a lot of friends, and doesn't like to see people being left out. Lonely people and and those with a low self-esteem especially strike a chord with him, because he can remember being just like them not long ago, and what he would be like if his guildmates hadn't helped him.

Especially over the last two years, Masaru has become much more confident in himself. Not in an arrogant way, just self-assured. He doesn't worry about his strength compared to others anymore, and is content with himself the way he is. It shows in just about everything he does, especially to those who knew him as a teenager, but the most prominent example of this is his competitive spirit. Masaru is always up for a friendly competition, be it combat-related or a goofy bet like who can eat the most hamburgers (his record is 15).

Masaru can be a bit... simple-minded at times. He lives in the now, and doesn't often look into the future or the past, so the bigger picture can often go over his head entirely. This can lead him into easily avoidable trouble, especially when mixed with his natural inclination to help people. He can also be a little bit invasive at times, not in a mean-spirited way, but he can be overbearing in his desire to help. He bounces back from his mistakes quickly though, and does eventually learn when corrected.

[spoiler=Abilities]

[spoiler=Summon Magic]

Summon Magic is an ancient form of magic that is rarely seen in this day and age for a multitude of reasons. First of all they have an enormous amount of prerequisites that one must see to before being able to summon any creature regardless of the strength they possess, such as making sure that summon has agreed to fight for you and that it’s a trustable creature. Once you’re sure that the summon is entirely reliable in combat you’re free to bring it out as the main form of defense for yourself, because it runs next to no risk of being mortally injured, because once you let go of the summon’s tether it will return to its plane and immediately begin recuperating. That is the next problem you will often encounter, is that an injured summon has to have at least a full 24 hours to heal itself and gather the lost energy before it can battle again.

On top of that, maintaining the tether that anchors the summon to this plane requires an inhuman pool of magical energy that next to no one is capable of. This means that a summoner has to seek out powerful artifacts that has a summon already tethered to it permanently through the use of special magic, which will cut the amount of energy required to maintain a summon by an enormous amount. The problem with this is that the magic-smiths who have the ability to create these items are rare, and the items themselves even rarer, so a summoner often doesn’t get an extremely diverse choice.

In spite of all this, if a wizard is determined enough to choose this path, he is rewarded greatly. Though the look the summon possesses can be deceiving, the creatures are always strong and adept at defending their charge from any and all attacks. They are also capable of controlling an entire battlefield with enough of a reserve of magic, because a summoner can swarm an area with creatures that are resistant to weapons forged on this plane of existence and durable against a large amount of common magic.

[spoiler=Enchanted Artificial Arm]

Image

Artificial arm created by Mena Smith to replace the limb he lost. It functions using a mixture of magic and technology, and serves a dual purpose. The first is to give him back his arm, and it does that almost flawlessly. It functions as well as his arm did, is superhumanly durable and resistant to all but the most powerful magic, and enhances his strength to nearly superhuman levels . The second purpose that is serves is that it’s a supplement to his Summon Magic, replacing the Slime Rod that he used to use, and is much more powerful than it ever was. With it, he can seemingly continue to summon slimes indefinitely, though maintaining them all is a different story.

This doesn’t come without its drawbacks. Masaru was impatient and eager to get going when the arm was made, so it’s got a few flaws, the main one being that getting it too hot or cold can cause it to lock up until the temperature can be stabilized. It also hinders Masaru’s ability to swim greatly, and he’ll sink like a rock if he’s in the water for longer than a minute. That specifically is a sore spot for him, because growing up so close to the ocean, swimming was second nature to him. Being reminded that he can’t anymore hurts more than he’d like to admit.

[spoiler=Arctus, or more commonly, the Slime Sword:]

Image

Arctus is a sword of arcane origin, an unrivaled mix of magic and tempered steel. It will never rust or dull, it’s easily capable of cutting through most earthly materials, and it seems to shimmer with an aura that is almost palpable to anyone with an eye for the arcane. Arctusis unquestionably a very powerful sword, and in the hands of Masaru, its potential is fully utilized.

Arctus is capable of absorbing one of Masaru’s slime summons to change the property of itself. It will change based on the form of slime that was absorbed (such as metal or vortex slime). An expansive list of the ways the slime-types change the weapon can be found here.

[spoiler=Remembrance, or more commonly, the Slime Gun:]

Image (Bottom One)

Remembrance is a large handgun with a single broad barrel that Masaru acquired during his travels. It can absorb any slime within a 5-foot radius to use as ammunition, which will change the type of shot it fires, and how long it has to be on down time before it can fire again. Types of rounds found here.

[spoiler=Enchanted Artificial Arm]

Arctus is unquestionably a very powerful sword, and in the hands of Masaru, its potential is fully utilized.

Arctus is capable of absorbing one of Masaru’s slime summons to change the property of itself. It will change based on the form of slime that was absorbed (such as metal or vortex slime). An expansive list of the ways the slime-types change the weapon can be found here.

[spoiler=Solaris, or more commonly, the Slime Gun:]

Image (Middle One)

Solaris is a large handgun with a single broad barrel that Masaru acquired during his travels. It can absorb any slime within a 5-foot radius to use as ammunition, which will change the type of shot it fires, and how long it has to be on down time before it can fire again. Types of rounds found here.

Time's a wasting, child, and I certainly hate wasted time

Speaking of time. There's a poll now, guys. Basically I am unsure how long you want this to go on and if you want to move to a later part of the day. If you have a specific you're wanting (moving ahead 3 hours, 5 hours, until bedtime) please say so in the thread. But please vote yes or no to moving forward with the day.

"I have no idea how I got here... Uhm... Do you know where we're at?"

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Name: Masaru Drysden

Alias: "Prince of Slimes"

Age: Twenty-one

Sex: Male

Race: Human

[spoiler=Appearance]

Image

The only notable difference from the picture is that he wears a long sleeve-and-glove combo over his left arm - the metal one - so that people can't tell it isn't his actual arm. It's way less of an eyesore than the all white he used to wear.

[spoiler=Biography]

Masaru spent the next few months exploring the island, and discovered several magical items, including his gun, Solaris.

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Abilities]

[spoiler=Summon Magic]

I, well, we, could use such a simple-minded soul. He will fit right in and I am certain he will have his fans...I most certainly look forward to seeing this child in combat.

So many from that guild. It's almost as if...some force is attempting to revive it....

The slime child will be accepted at a later date. A time and place for everything and his time is not quite here yet.

[spoiler=Warren Renniger // "Boomburst" ]

 2ektyt2.png
“Being a superhero is a real drag sometimes.”

Full Name: Warren Renniger
Age: 23
Gender: Male
City of Origin: Boston

[spoiler=Appearance]
1950f1bccf496a7cb5330ecbe7daf414.jpg

Warren is decently tall at 5’10” (177 CM), and because of the physical fitness required for the job of a superhero he has put on a good amount of weight since he was a teenager, and though still very lean, he weighs roughly 165 LBS  (75 KG), most of which is wiry muscle. His hair is shaggy and dirty blonde, a few bits falling down to frame his sharp face and debatably his most noticeable feature, his eyes. They are nearly completely white from a distance, enabling him to deliver a blood-chilling stare with his mask on, but his irises are actually a very pale lavender color that can only be discerned from close-up. They have become somewhat well known because, on top of being so strange, they are the only feature discernible from beneath his costume. Another defining feature, but only out of his costume, is the barbwire tattoo on his left forearm that he got on a dare.

His wardrobe is simple outside of missions, mostly because he owns multiple sets of the same clothes. He mostly dresses in baggy black sweatpants and long-sleeved t-shirts with the sleeves rolled up past the elbow, and some obscure pop culture reference on the chest ("END OF THE CENTURY"). Warren defends his rather lazy way of dressing with the excuse that his uniform is already one of the most uncomfortable to wear under the hot California sun, so he deserves some comfort while he isn't on a mission. Other than that, he usually has his headset around his neck because it doubles as a music player, and his mask in his pocket in case he ever has to jump in when there isn't time to don the full uniform.

[spoiler=Personality]

Warren is a very lazy and apathetic person from the perspective of an outsider, and that’s not a entirely unfounded thing to say about him. His natural inclination is to do as little as work as possible, and he isn’t all that interested by the buzzing of the inhabitants of Liberty City and the near idol worship they give him and his teammates. He’s of an extremely strong opinion that it is more annoying than anything else, like he is many things that most wouldn’t see as a problem. Warren doesn’t understand most of the regular people - the human people - and the things that they see as world-ending or mind-blowing register very low on his scale of problems.

To say that he doesn’t care about anything, however, would be simply untrue. Warren is not very interested in the average civilian or their opinion, but he cares about the civilian populace and their lives as a whole. He also puts an extra amount of priority on keeping his teammates safe in combat, and won’t hesitate to put himself in a position a more clear-headed person would call strategically disadvantageous if it will assure the safety of his allies. He will do this because he views his teammates as his only friends in the world, the only people who actually understand why he acts like he does and what it’s like to be a hero. They know he’s not some immortal man of stone that cannot be taken down like the public is lead to believe, and he knows all too well they aren’t invulnerable either.

That won’t stop him from giving them hell though. Warren is reliable in combat, but out of it and in everyday life, it is easy to see how laidback he really is. He doesn’t participate in all of the publicity stunts and appearances most of the rest of them do to bolster national pride, and though he will show up to do his training, he will be content with just blowing it off unless someone presses him. He also has a tendency to come off as very mischievous, though his sense of humor is very dry and slightly cruel. It is not obvious when he’s scheming though, due to how hard he is to read, which requires his friends to be on guard around him most of the time.

Warren has an underlying fear that he will eventually lose control of his powers and hurt his own team. It has been a deepset issue since the beginning of his time with the BMA, because it is theorized by some of the scientists that Warren is a walking mass of volatile energy that could, under an extreme amount of duress, combust with enough power to level half of a city or more. It hasn’t even actually been confirmed as a fact - and his teammates haven’t a clue it is even a possibility - but his team supervisor has been warned of the chance as well as he has been warned to avoid losing control.

[spoiler=Overview]

Warren was born to a small and tame family in Boston, Massachusetts. From a very young age, he stood out when compared to his classmates in all fields, easily surpassing them in things like athletics without even trying. He didn’t seemed to ever get sick either, like his immune system was on a different level, even when the Swine Flu swept the entire school off of their feet and into their bed with tissue boxes close by. Or even ever get hurt like the rest of the children his age, with his cuts and bruises healing themselves within hours of them happening.

Yes, you guessed it, Warren was an obvious carrier of the Dresden Marker from the very beginning. He breezed his way through everything put in front of him with ease, and after a while, the lack of a challenge caused him to lose interest in his school work as a whole. Why do something when you know you’re going to win? was his logic at the time. He put in just enough effort to pass each grade, mostly due to his test scores, and then he would sleep most of the rest of the time.

His natural inclination for avoiding work didn’t come back to bite him until he reached the 10th grade, where all of his teachers thought he could be so much more if he actively tried. They would send him to the Principal's office on nearly every single day of the week for sleeping and slacking, but he would mostly blow them off even then. It was on a day like any other, when the Principal was riding him especially hard, that the nagging finally got to him after a long day of it all and he lost his temper and snapped. He yelled back, and when he did, he raised the roof. And the wall too, about sixty feet to the side.

When his Principal recovered from the shock of having his office blown to pieces - mostly uninjured but scared - he called Warren’s parents and reported it to them, and then called the police and reported it to them as well. He was old enough that if he was a metahuman he should have been registered already, so it was breaking the law. After a lengthy debate between his parents and the police on if he would be forced to leave his home, Warren found it all too bothersome that he was headed away from home and to a facility the BMA possessed to train him to control it and to use his powers for the right causes.

At the facility Warren was surprised to find he was actually challenged, with people just as gifted as him, and tasks that didn’t seem so menial as his trigonometry had back in school. He was taught to fight with his hands, and those in charge of training him somehow coerced him into the physical training enough that he reached his physical peak quickly. The most entertaining of it to him was his ability to use his powers: Warren learned that he had the power to speed up the molecules in an area, charging them with so much heat that they caused very powerful detonations that rocked an entire block if he put enough power into it.

After a few years he was deemed acceptably trained, and then he was stationed to a team in Liberty City. The rest, as they say, is history.

Alias: Boomburst

[spoiler=Costume]

  • Headphones: A noise-canceling headset with a built-in radio. It also doubles as a music player.
  • Fire Retardant Jacket: Heavy jacket made out of fire retardant materials. Cushions most blows.
  • Combat Batons: Set of twin batons that function as his fallback weapons. Extremely durable.

[spoiler=Powers:]
Molecular Acceleration: The first half of Warren’s unique metahuman ability. He can cause the molecules around him to rapidly accelerate, generating extreme amounts of heat quickly.
  • Molecular Combustion: Boomburst’s namesake. Warren can accelerate the molecules in an area nearby him until the friction causes them to explode violently. It causes damage in two waves, the first being the burst of pressurized air traveling faster than the speed of sound with the force to break bones. The second half of the attack is the blaze of fire caused by the overheated molecules, which get hot enough to melt steel.
  • Accelerated Motion: Exactly what it sounds like. Warren can accelerate the molecules in a small radius, causing everything in the radius to move at much higher speed than normal. He can only use it very small bursts, and not in a large enough area to affect a person.

Molecular Deceleration: The second -- and most recent -- half of Warren’s unique metahuman ability. With enough concentration and energy, he can slow down the molecules in an area.
  • Slow-Mo Movement: Warren can slow down an object or organism’s molecules, causing them to move at a very slow and exaggerated pace. Mostly used against bullets and other projectiles, very draining.
  • Slow-Mo Death Save: Warren can slow down his own molecules, causing him to move at slow and exaggerated pace. Extremely useful when falling long distances.

Specialized Metahuman Physiology: Warren possesses the enhanced physical capabilities of all metahumans.
  • Unnaturally quick reflexes.
  • Can run the 100 meter dash in roughly 8 seconds.
  • Capable of lifting upwards of 1200 LBS (545 KG) without struggle.
  • Extreme resistance to kinetic energy due to the use of his powers regularly.

Okay final submission, my baaddddd.

[spoiler=Overview]

[spoiler=Costume]

[spoiler=Powers:]

You are a terrible young man. I suppose this boy might make for an interesting distraction. However do note that against a singular target his powers seem especially lopsided. I'll consider it.

  • 3 weeks later...

Okay time for some announcements!

First. Everyone is at around the same time now. Which would be about 2:30 PM

Except Aurora who is around....someone near noon.

A message at this time (2:30) will announce for Elijah and Cyan to have their battle at 3 PM in Virtual Battlefield Room 1.

A reminder at this time would be sent to each Aurora and Caleb that they are the only not to battle yet.

Also Yui you don't have to wait for me to post for stuff like that. The temperature adjusting is just another option she can access via watch.

Which brings me to another point. Try and break the habit of waiting for host posts to respond to things. I won't be able to constantly give things to react to you'll often have to go out and find things yourselves and get bits of info at a time from me.

Also I might forget some things sometimes. For instance idk if I gave people the points for the photo shoot and such but if not...

Those who did the photo shoot will receive 20 points.

And Elijah will either be able to get points for each part of the commercial or for the whole thing once they're all done

Speaking of points. After a week or so IC I'll probably evaluate and see if I need to up the point rewards.

Please mention in the RP Chat when you've read this and the post in Database that I will be putting up soon.

Ohboyohboyohboy! Cyan vs. Elijah, why do I get the feeling I'm going to lose?

I should mention. Elijah would probably find that once the battle starts he knows how to use the abilities he has and what abilities those are. Though he does have the downside of less experience still.

Hello everyone this is an announcement from your friendly neighborhood host, Mauvache. As a celebration for a certain day on the Planet Earth, I am giving you all a small incentive for some fun. If, before the day's (IC of course) end, you manage to prank either a named NPC or a PC then you will earn an additional 10 points. You may generate whatever tools needed to pull off your prank but you may not do any lingering damage, have anything that will cause permanent change, and all tools will vanish after being used or at the end of the day. A message with the details will be sent to each fighter at 4 PM, Caleb and Aurora will get it after their fight ends.

I believe this is called a "bump". I do have a couple things to say, though. One is I would like the one called Hakima to confirm if they're still interested before adding their character to the "To be added" list (and make sure it's who they want).

And also for the announcement that Chaos Sonic likely will be a part of that list as well; once we figure out who to grab from their roster of characters.

This will be exciting, don't you think?

Personal Information

Name: Gavin Shepard
Alias(es): Ace, Maverick
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: May 22nd, 2536
Family: Pete Shepard (Father; Alive), Charlotte Williams Shepard (Mother; Alive), Mitchell Shepard (Younger Brother; Alive)

x393wz.jpg
[spoiler=Appearance:]

9u0A5hk.jpg

Standing at 5'9" (175 cm) and weighing in at 145 lbs is Gavin Shepard. He has short brown hair that brings out his reddish amber eyes in the right lighting. His body is toned-well, for a twenty-year old male and is quite agile to boot. The clothing that is shown above would be Gavin's relaxing attire, as he has a habit of lounging around in his normal clothes than the space suit or protocol required attire. The normal relaxing attire that Gavin sports usually consists of his favorite black and red t-shirt, black jeans, black boots which he keeps his jean bottoms covering over them, along with his father's old pilot's jacket that he was given after his graduation. Finally, his MOVA is usually worn on his left arm.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality:]

In Gavin's academy training, he was taught to put his team first, don't make hasty decisions, and to treat whatever you pilot as if it was an extension of yourself. Needless to say, Gavin has kept two of those three in line, in some occasions.

The usual side to Gavin is his pilot mentality, which is prone to adapting to quickly to any situation that he's given. Because of his quick adapting, Gavin is able to perform his duties well under any pressure thrown his way; this is one of his best qualities. His academy trainer said that there was one thing he liked about him as a pilot...and that was "Your arrogance in your skills as a pilot". With that in his mind, Gavin always takes pride in his skills, even to the point of arrogance which sometimes can be his biggest strength or his biggest weakness.

When he isn't piloting (and that's a very rare case), Gavin is usually writing letters to his family. In ways he may not show it, the young pilot still holds a soft spot for his family and enjoys sending them letters from time to time to tell of his exploits that he's come across through his new career. Because of this, he feels a strong connection with any crew or team he comes in contact with, always putting them and their needs first before his own. For his crew, team, and friends, Gavin is always as loyal as he can be as well as being able to defend them whenever they need it. However at first Gavin might not react to newcomers too well, due to him having a small amount of trust issues (namely because of his younger brother), but once that barrier is passed, Gavin will become an amazing friend and ally to whoever he comes in contact with.

Another thing Gavin tends to do when he isn't piloting or writing letters to family, happens to be working on technical aspects of things. More specifically, his surveillance nanobots and his A.I., VEX. As technology is constantly evolving, Gavin is always tinkering with these things and much more in order to stay ahead of the constant technological curve that is always present.

Within combat, Gavin acts as he does when piloting: thinking quickly and taking risks. He prefers working with a team, as to always have someone watching his back as a sort of "wingman" would. He doesn't make any sarcastic or snark comments at the enemy, as it would only provoke them to dangering innocents even more.

x393wz.jpg[spoiler=Biography:]

"I'm guessin' I'm no longer in the same quadrant anymore...right?"

Gavin Shepherd was born on Earth to Pete and Charlotte Williams Shepherd, as their first born. And from a young age, Gavin had always loved something about the wild blue yonder and even the starry wonder that was space. This is where Gavin's desire to become a pilot started...and it didn't help that his father was a pilot in his younger days either. But there was more to Gavin than just becoming a pilot, no...much more. From what both of his parents saw, Gavin was also attuned to computers...more specifically, Artificial Intelligence.

When he became of age, his parents sent him to school in order to hone his skills in both piloting and maintaining A.I., in order to help the crews he would see himself working on later in the future. It was at this point that he created his A.I. companion, Virtual EXperiment or VEX. In truth, VEX was somewhat of an accident that was created due to Gavin's younger brother, Mitchell, knocking into his workbench and having Gavin miss the intended spot to hit. If Gavin HAD hit that specific spot, he wouldn't have been successful in making the A.I., which he would learn much later.

As years passed, Gavin and VEX had become quite the duo. Not only this, but with VEX's help, Gavin was able to design his MOVA's specific equipment, namely the addition of the surveillance bots and even Artificial Intelligence Synchronization. But above all, the feature Gavin was most proud of was the "Flight of the Aquila", which was used in accordance with his weapon: the dark energy weapon boomerang known as the Aquila. With everything was set for him to join Captain Elric Malcolm aboard the starship Glory 7 and explore the Milky Way! ...that's how it was supposed to go anyway.

Unfortunately for Gavin, another pilot was applying for the same position of main pilot of the Glory 7. When the two confronted one another, the debate/debacle ended up in a race...a cruiser race. Each pilot would get in their respect cruisers and the first one to go from one end of the city to back to where they were, would end up becoming the pilot. Gavin, of course, was over confident in his skills and he and VEX took on the challenge. Unfortunately, the opposing pilot, Bradshaw Lindi, messed with Gavin's cruiser, by shooting an EMP wave his way. He was barely able to shield VEX and put him in safe mode during this. With this, Gavin lost the race and Bradshaw Lindi became the Glory 7's main pilot.

Gavin was crushed at this point, but was glad that he was able to keep VEX safe and not lose him during the EMP. Watching the Glory 7 leave orbit, Gavin was left with pretty much nothing else. For the moment, no other explorer class starships were leaving...that was his one ticket to sail the stars. What else was there to do? That's where things get interesting, actually. Gavin awoke from his sleep of that night to find himself within a new location...a new world. When trying to find specifics on his location, his MOVA and even A.I. couldn't give it to him. Where was he? How did he get here? All he knows is that a strange individual with a top hot, definitely shrouded in mystery, is the one who called for him to awaken.

[spoiler=Fighting Style]

The type of fighting that Gavin is accustom to is a mixed one of both ranged and close-combat. With the ranged style of combat, he utilizes his Orion Custom G-13 and his Aquila in order to keep his opponents at bay and at a distance.

At the same time, this doesn't mean Gavin is strictly a ranged fighter. With the fact of his Aquila being able to be utilized as an offensive weapon in close range, as well as his Dark Energy Shield. Aside from the weaponry, Gavin is able to hold his own in a close-combat fight with his bare hands. His specific style of fighting hand to hand is akin to that of kick-boxing.

[spoiler=Weapon(s):]

[spoiler=Orion Custom G-13]

dominator___psycho_pass_by_amaterasu111-

The Custom G-13 of the Orion series comes fully equipped with a thirteen round magazine. The G-13's most known feature is the Rapid-Fire Mode, which, once locked on to a specific target, will shoot most or all of the ammo into the desired target. The second feature of the Orion G-13 is the Stun-Gun Mode, which the secondary barrel of this mode is located under the primary gun's barrel, able to release a quick jolt of electricity to its target to stun them.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=The Aquila]

5a86b7791b947e4cf778aa54dcff7d43-d3jo700

An unusual dark energy weapon that acts both as a melee weapon as well as a long-ranged weapon. When thrown, the dark energy motor it has, helps propel itself to a desired target. Not just being used as a long-ranged weapon, it has a buzz-saw mode, helpful when in a situation that needs some or any walls or doors cut through. Its melee purposes basically are to defend and to even strike back in a manner to that of a sword's blade. When unused, Gavin has it in its folded appearance hooked up to the bottom of his MOVA.

x393wz.jpg
[spoiler=MOVA Feature(s):]

Surveillance-Bots: A feature of the MOVA that sends out a series nanobots to survey an unknown area and from their data, be able to create a very detail-oriented map display of the entire area on the MOVA.

Artificial Intelligence Synchronization: Built into Gavin's MOVA is an Artificial Intelligence program that houses an A.I. known as VEX (Virtual EXperiment) who has served as Gavin's Co-Pilot/Wingman. VEX can upload himself (if able) into any ship that Gavin pilots to aid him with whatever he needs. While VEX is uploaded into the ship, Gavin can remotely interact with his faithful A.I. unit via the MOVA.

Flight of The Aquila: The latest feature to Gavin's MOVA, allowing his weapon The Aquila which is located on the underside of his MOVA to be fired from the MOVA itself. Once his MOVA gives Gavin the green light, after the targeting phase, The Aquila fires from the MOVA to its desired target.

Dark Energy Shield: The Dark Energy Shield program allows the MOVA to produce a protective panel of dark energy ranging from the size of a dinner plate to the height of the user's entire body. Of course, the bigger the shield means the more work the MOVA unit has to do which affects the cool down time. A bigger shield means the longer the user has to wait until a new shield can be produced. Onto the benefits of the shield, it will basically protect the user from most small and medium-sized firearms and even some types of explosives. A damage meter on the MOVA will let the user know when the shield has taken enough damage to disappear. The shield can even be color-customized to the user's liking. The color-customization for Gavin's MOVA Dark Energy Shield is white.

x393wz.jpg
[spoiler=Ability(s):]

Piloting Skills: His constant augmented reality training along with on the job training, has given Gavin the skills as a excellent pilot. His skills currently consist of evasive maneuvering in any situation, out flying other ships that try to take them on, as well as even being able to pilot any style of ship under the sun.

A.I. Maintenance: Due to his experience with his A.I. unit, VEX, Gavin is quite knowledgeable in working with A.I. and even keeping them well maintained. By spending his time with VEX, he has been able to know how to properly upgrade A.I., perform back-ups of the A.I., and even maintaining their programming protocol so they can live a long life (in A.I. years).

Gavin's Theme (Alternative) | Battle Theme (Alternative)

  • Gavin is a Welsh name for "White Hawk" as well as the late medieval form of the name "Gawain" from the Arthur legends and Shepard is an English name for "Sheep-herder". Shepard is also a reference of Alan Shepard, the first man in space. Shepard could also be a reference to Mass Effects' Commander Shepard.
  • Gavin's given Aliases Ace and Maverick mean the following: Ace being "a person who excels at a particular sport or other activity" and Maverick "an unorthodox or independent-minded person". Maverick is also a hint to his all time favorite old time movie Top Gun which feature's Tom Cruise's character with the same call sign.
  • Gavin's weapons are both named after their respective constellations of the same name: Orion Custom G-13 is named after Orion and The Aquila is named after Aquila.
  • His favorite color for any cruiser, starship, or type of spaceship to pilot happens to be crimson red. His reasoning: looking like a red comet exiting and entering any atmosphere/orbit.

Well well well. I see you've put in plenty of work for this one, boy. Now let's see if it's worth it. Someone who failed in their chance to get what they wanted. What would a failure be doing in my Arena? Well, it would be a shame to have your talents go to waste just because of one mishap. It will be fascinating to see what you do with your second chance. And heavens know we have a lack of certain types of weaponry.

Yes. I do believe this will work just fine. Remember you will have to wait to join though. I do not intend to rush things and put everyone in in the first days. If you can wait it out, though, you're very welcome aboard.

Alright team here's the deal.

Currently both Nai (Angela) and VCR (Aria) are in a position they won't be posting again for this day (Day 1). I did mention this might happen sometimes but even so I would like if everyone else can start posting a bit more often.

You don't need to wrap things up and not do anything else after but I would like to see a bit more speed.
Everyone is around 5 PM or later so we are in the later part of the day.
