Normal Trap
(1) When a card(s) on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect: Special Summon “Duston” monsters from your Deck to anywhere on the field, equal to the number of cards destroyed.
(2) Once, while this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish 1 “Duston” monster from your Graveyard; Special Summon this card to your opponent’s field in Defense Position as a Normal Monster (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0 /DEF 1000). (This card is NOT treated as a Trap Card.) If Summoned this way, this card cannot be Tributed or be used as a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Material for a Summon.

Heh, Duston support. Didn't see that coming. It's essentially a Metalfoe Counter except with the potential to summon multiple things. I guess the most important thing is that it helps get you to House Duston faster.

As for that grave effect, is it a once per duel type thing or...? Because there's no real way of monitoring if the card used its grave effect individually if, say, it goes back into the deck.

If the effect resolves or if it leaves the graveyard by any other means and it's then sent back to the grave, you can use the effect again. The "once while in the grave" part only comes into play if the effect is negated, say by CDI or Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, or if Vanity's Emptiness is chained.

On the one hand, f***ing DUSTON SUPPORT HELL YEAH!

On the other, it doesn't really help with Duston's primary fault: Being able to consistently explode House Duston for 3-4 to each side.

However, it's possible that with some tweaks to the current decklist, this can essentially be used as a secondary House Duston, by playing mass destruction spells. Though, preferably things that destroy monsters and spell/traps, so as to ensure you can get 6-8 pops/Dustons.

It'll need a bit of testing, but I'll be tentatively optimistic.

I suppose what I was getting at was that you can keep summoning this thing if it's summoned off its own effect then sent to the graveyard, right? I was hoping that's what it meant, but I didn't think they'd do something along those lines. There's definitely an OTK waiting to happen here...

as in, equip big bang shot to Stardust Charge Warrior while you have this card and 8 or more Duston monsters in grave? awesome

With this, it may be reasonable to play 2 Scapegoat, 2 Dark Hole, and 1 Torrential Tribute. Basically it's a different House Duston that doesn't change the way the deck wants to work too too much, just some minor tweaks.

inb4 Pearl Duston is a Field Spell in the next set.
