The Phantom Knights of Black Iron

I could not find the link to the artist but here is one for the artwork http://www.deviantart.com/art/Knight-627551426

​I saw this artwork on Deviantart and thought it would make a beatstick monster for The Phantom Knights (in the form of a Pseudo Trap Monster), and a quick way to Xyz Summon certain DARK or Warrior-Type Xyz Monsters. It does rely on Normal Traps to activate it, so it has some purpose being used with the other Phantom Knights Traps.

I would appreciate a comment or two to help me in designing cards for the game (so that one day I can make my own art, and take these cards straight to Konami so you can all play them IRL), thanks in advance.

Effect: Banish 2 Normal Trap Cards in your Graveyard; Special Summon this card in Attack Position as an Effect Monster (Warrior-Type/DARK/Level 7/ATK 2800/DEF 2100), and if you do, it gains this effect. (This card is NOT treated as a Trap Card.)
● If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, or if it is sent to the Graveyard because of an opponent's card effect: Target 2 DARK Warrior-Type monsters in your Graveyard, then declare a Level; Special Summon those targets as the declared Level. Immediately after this effect resolves, Xyz Summon 1 DARK and/or Warrior-Type Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck, using those Summoned monsters only as the Xyz Materials.
You can only activate 1 "The Phantom Knights of Black Iron" per turn.

Just a reminder that the Advanced Clause is still enforced in this section, and posting meme pics don't count as a review. 
 
But yeah, card does give PKs access to whatever DARK and/or Warrior that exists. If I could access YGOPro, I'd make a list of the valid targets this enables PKs to make, but off the top of my head (from general usability). Then again, does this card bypass general summon restrictions like Attribute/Archetype/Typing, etc. (I'll assume that it does for the time being).
 

If the assumption is correct, then this card enables PKs to make 35 / 77, all of the Utopia Xyz, DRXD (though they can use Break Sword to do it and not resort to this). the 'tellarknight Xyz (or at least Vatlyamus), Number 24 and really a bunch of other stuff. 

 

Not an expert on how PKs work right now, but don't think they even need a card that enables them to summon any DARK / Warrior Xyz they want (nor is it a good idea to give them one). This card's banishing cost also seems detrimental to how they function in the first place, which is triggering in the Graveyard.

In your case, you haven't explained anything. It's fine to compliment the user, but you must also back it up with details.

Going back to that, even if we ignore any particular summon conditions, there's still a fair bit of generic 2-mat DARK and/or Warrior Xyz that this card can able, including the ones I mentioned earlier.

I like how it's a BLS-ish Maindeck beater for decks with Normal Traps, although the effect isn't as generic.

The card's Level8 doesn't go with PKs, whose Levels range from 2 to 4, but that can be fixed with a Level-changing effect, preferably a Level-copying effect like Mist Claw's.

It's a shame that you aren't able to banish the PK Continuous Traps for summoning this guy, but those Traps have their own useful in-Graveyard effects so it should be fine.

As for the effect, I for one find cool that it allows the player to Xyz Summon monsters that normally wouldn't be available, 2-material DARKs and Warriors with Ranks 1 and 5+, although admittedly accessing Warrior Xyzs feels a bit out of flavor since PKs are about DARK Xyzs, but the extra flexibility is welcomed.

 

Text fix:

The effect doesn't allow you to Xyz Summon a monster bypassing its material requirements, since it makes you perform a regular Xyz Summon, rather than Special Summoning the Xyz as cards like the RUMs and "Evo-Singularity" do.

Even if it does make you perform a normal Xyz, there's still enough targets for this to summon (including the ones I mentioned earlier, minus the 'tellars), even if it can't summon things like Ultimate Falcon or whatever has restrictions that can't be filled by DARK Warrior-Type monsters.

That would be true if posted under the old CC administration; it is not true now (or rather, has not been since mid/late 2014).
