Eh...

Pseudo Room

Field Spell

You can banish 1 Field Spell Card from your hand or Deck: This card's name and effect become the same as that Card's until the End Phase. You can only use this effect of "Pseudo Room" once per turn. While this card is in your Graveyard (except the turn it was sent there), you can banish this card: destroy 1 card your opponent controls and add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand (except "Pseudo Room").

Yes yes... I know how to read.

CnC would be lovely.

So, basically a variant of Pseudo Space that requires less setup by copying the Field Spell straight from the hand/Deck. It looks really good, actually: in a way it acts as another Terraforming by pseudo-searching the field, and although the copied effect only lasts a turn, often that single turn is enough to make big plays. Then it lets you grab an actual Field Spell once it hits the grave, while rewarding you with a card pop; that, or you could straight mill it with "Foolish Burial of Belongings" and get the search + pop the next turn. Moreover, the grave effect requires you to have a Field on the grave/Deck, so you cannot just splash in non-Field decks for the pop effect; this is a nice way to keep it in check, IMO.

Still, I would tone down the destruction effect by making it target, since it isn't too difficult to set up and thus it shouldn't be too strong, IMO.

Also unlike Pseudo Space, this isn't useful at re-using Field Spells that are in the banlist, as Pseudo Space did when Chicken Game was around, so it isn't a case of complete outclassing, which is good as it lets Pseudo Space conserve its niche.

As for text fixes, parenthesis aren't used in those 2 clauses, and there are a couple of misused punctuation marks when it comes to PSCT:

Not bad.

It's a shame it doesn't work in conjunction with Pseudo Space though, by banishing the Field Spell it essentially prevents itself from teaming up, and also prevents itself from being its own little engine by sending a copy of itself and then banishing it for a real search, and searching again when being replaced. Granted, that could be prevented by just saying you cannot go for [insert this card's name here] with its effects.

I somewhat wanna try an old Geartown + Magical Hats variant, looking at how you can go for copies of this card to recycle your own Geartowns in the Grave and make Hats live for longer periods of time. It'd also work well with Foolish Burial of Belongings but since it cannot go off the turn it gets to the Graveyard, that might be about the worst combo one can do with it. I'd probably be better off ditching it with Summoner Monk or any other discard costs.

The destruction effect is a delightful bonus to make sure the engine would do something and improving your chances of a good combo. I'd probably like it better less generic only hitting face-down cards (to help decks cope with set Strikes) or face-up cards (to help decks cope with floodgates), or only S/Ts (if you'd rather the card be fair without having to target), or umm... nah, I wouldn't suggest hitting monsters....that's about the weakest use it'd have.....

But yeah, a little more of a specialization like that would be good IMO.

Still, solid card that could revive old fun engines at the very least.
