Babymon
Diabound Kernel Fiend/Effect: When this card declares an attack: It gains 600 ATK. During either player's turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; it loses ATK equal to this card's ATK, then banish this card until the Standby Phase of the next turn. This ATK decrease lasts until the end of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Diabound Kernel" once per turn.
Delibirb
It's cool that they printed it. Not so cool how they printed it.
Sleepy
This is one of those cards that have been printed within the last year or so for nostalgia purposes whose card image seems like a recolored panel of the manga. A few of the Dark Magician support cards are also like this.... I'd like for Konami to go wild with alternate arts in cards more often, but if even for the original version of the card art they are using a drawing from almost 20 years ago, err.... The card is a cool print for sure. Nowadays' standards would have preferred for him to not target, and maybe to even be a Level 4 while at it, but I'm mixed between the idea of making something more decent for the current time game or making something more compatible with the flavor and balance of the time in the game it comes from for the sake of the nostalgia value usage. Darj
I definitely prefer that Anime/Manga cards were adapted to the game, and preferably the metagame, at the "cost" of varying degrees of flavor and nostalgia value. I mean, some of them have been successes in the game, ranging from average to amazing, like Jugaredo and HERO Shadow Mist, respectively. In this card's case, well, it is lacking. Comparing it with the anime effect, it was improved, but it's still not good enough for this modern age. As it was pointed out above, it would have been much better if it was at least Normal Summonable.
Neochu-H
this cards effect is nothing like the anime, what the hell happened to gaining effects of monsters it destroys? Thats what made it so powerful
Sleepy
this cards effect is nothing like the anime, what the hell happened to gaining effects of monsters it destroys? Thats what made it so powerful I thought that was an in-universe ability it had at the D&D Egypt Edition what was "Millenium World". I don't recall it stealing effects outright during a duel using cards. Maybe because it mostly was battling Blue-Eyes (a vanilla) or because they might someday give us an evolution. We also never got Obelisk the Progenitor and I think Konami is making an effort to not be done with DM's cards for the sake of delivering nostalgia product five years down the road or something.
