Βyakuya
Destroy as many WATER monsters on the field as possible, then inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed and sent to the Graveyard by this effect. As you all might know, this card will be released in the Duelist Saga set for TCG...compared to OCG who has had this thing for 4 fricking years. 4. And back then this was an alright side card used against Nekroz 2 years ago, and now in the TCG, it has potential to become a cornerstone side card against Paleos, assuming the deck remains viable in the future. It's safer than Torrential in some aspects, and would pop any other Paleos being summoned if they try to chain to this card. Plus some good old burn on the side always helps for quicker games. ~~~~
It won't burn for the traps since they aren't sent to the graveyard. I'm putting on more of a salty face about this card than I actually feel on the inside, because honestly I'm not worried about it. Field nukes always were and always will be stupidly good against zoics, and this is one that requires that the opponent goes first, making it less powerful than dark hole, raigeki or slumber. Sleepy
4 years? I didn't even know this card existed until now.I can see a beautiful combo with Torrential Reborn during the Battle Phase to ensure your WATER deck's monsters burn for a total of 1000 each and get a second attack in. Other than that, side deck if we ever get WATER themed overlords again.
ÆƵ–
There's also the utility that this can bring when thinking toadally bahamut plays. You can pop the things that would be used for baha, and then bam no more toad this turn.
