Red-Eyes Burning Flame Swordsman

lv 5 DARK

Warrior/Effect

If you control a face-up "Red-Eyes" Monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. During either players turn: you can discard this card from your hand; target 1 "Red-Eyes" Monster you control, then, increase the targeted monsters ATK by 1800 and it gains the following effect until the End Phase that turn.

* When this card destroys a monster as a result of battle and sends to the graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monsters ATK.

You can only activate each effect of "Red-Eyes Burning Flame Swordsman" once per turn.

ATK/1800 DEF/1600

So Burning Flame Swordsman as Red-Eyes Support can not only summon itself if you control a Red-Eyes Monster but can also boost for 1800 in addition to providing a Flame Wingman effect to that monster that turn where its effects are limited by the hard OPT clause.

Feels like shades of the Apprentice Illusion Magician. But this one's currently fighting for hand-trap real estate with another card in the Red-Eyes Archetype. So the question lies-is this better than Red-Eyes Retro Dragon? Probably, both rely on protection that most of the more popular Decks laugh at (ATK values and destruction, you all think ABC's letting you get that far? S'why I think Red-Eyes Slash Dragon's hella underrated, since it has what most Red-Eyes Fusions don't-targeting protection.) but Swordsman can be worked in with Panzer to open up the Rank 5 game, something new to Red-Eyes.

And this can help Red-Eyes push for game in a way Inferno Fire Blast could be a dead draw in.

So yeah, awesome.

P.S. Thinking of putting a pic and cardframe to this that I've got lying in back-would you be okay with that?
