Triumphant Archertype [WRITTEN, WIP]

Hello, fine peoples!

 

I've been working on this archetype on/off for a while. Though it isn't finished, the basic idea of how this works should be pretty clear. I plan to add some Synchros and Links along with more backrow to round it out.

WIND *

Beast/Effect

When this card is Normal Summoned, you can shuffle up to 3 of your banished cards into your Deck; draw 1 card. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can banish it; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck whose ATK is the same as this card's on the field. You can only gain this effect twice per turn.

Triumphant Flare

FIRE **

Beast/Effect

Once per turn, you can target 1 monster on the field; that target gains 1000 ATK, but it's effects on the field are negated. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can banish it; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck whose ATK is the same as this card's on the field. You can only gain this effect twice per turn.

Triumphant Flurry

WIND **

Beast/Effect

This card's ATK becomes 1050. Once per turn, you can add 1 "Triumphant" Spell/Trap to your hand; negate this card's effects on the field. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can banish it; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck whose ATK is the same as this card's on the field. You can only gain this effect twice per turn.

Triumphant Stealth

DARK ***

Beast/Effect

If this card is Special Summoned, you can decrease the ATK of all monsters you control by 500; Special Summon 1 "Triumphant" monster from your hand. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can banish it; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck whose ATK is the same as this card's on the field. You can only gain this effect twice per turn.

Triumphant Bark

EARTH ***

Beast/Effect

Once per turn, you can decrease the ATK of all monsters you control by 500; Special Summon 1 of your banished "Triumphant" monsters. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can banish it; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck whose ATK is the same as this card's on the field. You can only gain this effect twice per turn.

Triumphant Reverie

LIGHT ****

Beast/Effect

If you control a monster(s) whose ATK is different than their original ATK, you can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, increase the ATK of all other monsters you control by 500 until the End Phase. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can banish it; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck whose ATK is the same as this card's on the field. You can only gain this effect twice per turn.

Triumphant Dive

WATER *****

Beast/Tuner/Effect

If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your hand, but its ATK is decreased by 500. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can banish it; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck whose ATK is the same as this card's on the field. You can only gain this effect twice per turn.

Triumphant Scab

EARTH *****

Beast/Tuner/Effect

If you control 2 or more "Triumphant" monsters, you can target 1 of them: Special Summon this card from your hand and its ATK becomes 1050. If you do, the target gains 500 ATK. If this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can banish it; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck whose ATK is the same as this card's on the field. You can only gain this effect twice per turn.

Triumphant Reflect

LIGHT 6*

Beast/Tuner/Effect

You can decrease this card's ATK by 1000; Special Summon 1 non-tuner "Triumphant" monster from your Deck in defense position. If this card's ATK increases, you can activate 1 of the following effects:

- Destroy 1 card on the field

- Draw 1 card

You can only activate each effect of this card's name once per turn.

Triumphant Deflect

DARK 6*

Beast/Tuner/Effect

Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can target 1 other monster you control; increase that target's ATK by 1000 until the End Phase. If this card leaves the field, you can Special Summon any number of "Triumphant" monsters from your hand, GY, or are banished whose total ATK is less than this card's on the field.

[spoiler Spells]Triumphant Horn

Equip Spell

When this card is activated, add 1 "Triumphant" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only gain this effect once per turn. The equipped monster gains 500 ATK. If the equipped monster leaves the field (except by battle), and this card is sent to the GY: you can add this card to your hand during the End Phase. If the equipped monster is destroyed by battle and this card is sent to the GY, banish this card and all copies of "Triumphant Horn" from your hand, Deck, and GY.

 

Triumphant Flag

Equip Spell

The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK but it cannot attack directly. If the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle, you can shuffle 3 of your banished cards into your Deck; the equipped monster can declare a second attack. You can only gain this effect once per turn. If the equipped monster leaves the field (except by battle), and this card is sent to the GY: you can add this card to your hand during the End Phase. If the equipped monster is destroyed by battle and this card is sent to the GY, banish this card and all copies of "Triumphant Flag" from your hand, Deck, and GY.

 

 

Swarm mechanics with a unique means of tutoring out your other monsters. Plus, 50s ATK values to give peeps headaches. Fun! Anyway, if anyone could help with grammar fixes/text shortening, that'd be great.

This is cool for the fact that it's floating monsters with some skill applied to the requirements. It also means that you can have banished support but without having to rely on the limited Dimensional FIssure and Macro Cosmos.

 

It's also interesting that the tuners are all higher level than the non-tuners, which means you actually have a lot more adaptability in the tuners you can use, since most of the generic ones are lower leveled, like Plaguespreader and Genex Ally Birdman.

 

Triumphant Horn and Flag are really interesting, considering it could be used as Toon Table levels of deck thinning at their worst. The equipped monster probably should be archetype exclusive, as this card would easily get abused in other decks.
