J-Max's Guide to Madolche (2017) Under construction.

hnHey YCM members, J-Max here with a brand new revision to my previous Madolche guide from 2015 or so. I will be covering everything from card guides, decks and even sneaky strategies! I am open to all comments and suggestions. Hope you enjoy!

The Madolche archetype is based around EARTH attribute monsters level 3-5 with the unique ability to go back to your deck once destroyed. Decking out using a Madolche is near impossible so is great for Deck Destruction and the like. Spell cards like Madolche Ticket and Madolche Chateau can be used to gain card advantage along with natural synergy of the entire deck to make sure you have a full hand at all times.

The bread and butter of the Madolche Archetype is the 2 Xyz monsters, Madolche Queen Tiaramisu and Madolche Cholat-a-la-mode. Tiaramisu has the really nasty potential to send your opponents cards back to their hands with no means to counter it. Anyway, onto the cards!

Chrome can be flaky so I will be updating in parts. Feel free to offer any helpful advice into this guide and all. Cheers.

[spoiler=Monsters]

Madolche Anjelly

Effect
If this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Madolche" monster from your Deck, but shuffle it into the Deck during the End Phase of your next turn. You can only use this effect of "Madolche Anjelly" once per turn. That Special Summoned monster cannot be destroyed by battle.

First up we have Madolche Anjelly. She has the fantastic ability to tribute herself to summon ANY Madolche monster from your Deck. This includes the essential Hootcake so playing Anjelly turn 1 will put you at a huge advantage. Also the protection from destruction of the summoned monster is a great bonus, especially if you can't Xyz summon during the turn that you use her effect.

Run: 3. 3 Anjelly is essential in any Madolche deck.

Madolche Baaple

Effect

If this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into your Deck. Once per turn: You can target 1 Attack Position "Madolche" monster you control and 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls; if both monsters are still on the field, change them to face-up Defense Position, and if you do, the ones changed by this effect cannot have their battle positions changed until the end of your opponent's next turn.

If you want to play a more defensive role while you are setting up for a Xyz summon then Baaple isn't a bad choice. Unfortunately that's all its good for. Level 3 is nice though meaning it's a worthy target for Hootcake.

Run: 0-2. The defensive approach is nice but you need to think more of the OTK potential.

Madolche Butlerusk

MadolcheButlerusk-REDU-EN-C-UE.png

Effect

When this card you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into your Deck. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. There must be another face-up "Madolche" monster on the field to activate and to resolve this effect.

The only thing going for Butlerusk is the fact that he is Level 4 which is good for Tiaramisu, Other then that, he is trash. Messengelato does his job much better in that you can add ANY Madolche Spell or Trap to your hand.

Run: 0. Absolutely worthless in any Madolche Deck.

Madolche Chikolates

MadolcheChickolates-MP14-EN-C-1E.png

Effect

When this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. Once per turn, when the battle position of a "Madolche" monster(s) you control is changed (and is now face-up), while this card is face-up on the field (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 monster on the field; change it to face-up Defense Position, and if you do, unless it is a "Madolche" monster, it cannot attack, also its effects are negated.

A very underated Madolche card for sure. With the ability to completely lock down an opponents monster makes it very dangerous in tandem with Baaple. Other then that though, this card has pretty lackluster stats and is likely to be at most a 1 turn stall.

Run: 0-2. 2 with Baaple, 0 on its own.

Madolche Chouxvalier

MadolcheChouxvalier-REDU-EN-R-1E.png

Effect

When this card you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into your Deck. Your opponent cannot target face-up "Madolche" monsters you control for attacks, except "Madolche Chouxvalier".

One of the highest ATK of the Madolche Archetype. Chouxvalier gets to a really respectale 2200 with Chateau out making it the powerhouse of the Deck. Also making him the only monster that can be attacked makes him great for stalling and keeping your other monsters safe.

Run: 1-2. A great powerhouse and a wall all in one!

Madolche Cruffssant

MadolcheCruffssant-ABYR-EN-C-1E.png

Effect

When this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up "Madolche" card you control, except this card; return it to the hand, and if you do, increase this card's Level by 1 and ATK by 300.

I am personally a big fan of this card. It can be utilised as a Level 3 or 4 Madolche monster making those all important Tiaramisu plays all the more easier. Also you can send a Madolche Spell or Trap to your hand as the cost! Meaning that you can get all the bonuses of Madolche Chateau over and over.

Run: 2-3. With its versatility, Cruffssant is a great pick for any Madolche Deck.

Madolche Hootcake

MadolcheHootcake-MP14-EN-SR-1E.png

Effect

When this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. You can target 1 monster in your Graveyard; banish it, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Madolche" monster from your Deck, except "Madolche Hootcake". You can only use this effect of "Madolche Hootcake" once per turn.

Another absolutely essential card for any Madolche Deck. Hootcake allows so many different plays its unreal. From Special Summoning Messengelato for a free Madolche Spell or Trap card to Cruffsant or Mewfuelle for a potential Rank 3. The best way to use this however is Anjelly into Hootcake, Banish Anjelly and summon Messengelato.

Run: 3. Hootcake is a absolute must and its versitility is amazing.

Madolche Magileine

MadolcheMagileine-REDU-EN-SR-1E.png

Effect
When this card you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into your Deck. When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: You can add 1 "Madolche" monster from your Deck to your hand.

A very useful Madolche card to use turn 1 incase you didn't draw a Anjelly or Hootcake. Also Level 4 is always nice for Tiaramisu. The ATK and DEF is a little low in my opinion though,

Run: 2-3. A great searcher card that can get that key monster if you were unlucky.

Madolche Marmalmaide

MadolcheMarmalmaide-ABYR-EN-C-1E.png

Effect
When this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. When this card is flipped face-up: You can target 1 "Madolche" Spell/Trap Card in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand.

Marmalmaide has fantastic DEF making her a great wall with a beefy 2500 with Chateau out. Her effect isn't that great but it can be very useful in recycling Madolchepalooza and the like.

Run: 1-2. Great 2000 DEF wall for the early part of the Duel.

Madolche Messengelato

MadolcheMessengelato-ABYR-EN-R-1E.png

Effect
When this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. When this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Madolche" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. You must control a face-up Beast-Type "Madolche" monster to activate and to resolve this effect.

One of the key searchers of the Madolche Archetype. With the ability to nab ANY Madolche Spell or Trap from your Deck, Messengelato makes getting Chateau and Ticket so much easier. It's best to Special Summon Messengelato by the effect of Hootcake to guarentee a Spell or Trap.

Run: 3. A fantastric searcher that will get you Madolche Spells and Traps all that much easier.

Don't forget the Brilliant Fusion engine, which lets Madolches make bigger plays not only by granting them an Extra Normal Summon through Seraphinite, milling Performage Trick Clown and dropping banish fodder for Hootcake, also by using the Fusion Monster as material for Chocolat-a-la-Mode Puddingcess.

I will be sure to mention them in my recomended card section later and thanks ^_^

Added Hootcake, Magileine and Marmalmaide.
