Thomas★Zero
Turf Painter lv 3 WATER Aqua/Effect While you control a Field Spell, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn (Quick Effect): you can negate the effects of a Field Spell your opponent controls until the End Phase that turn. ATK/1500 DEF/600 So Turf Painter basically Splatoon inspired can Summon itself while you have a Field Spell out and also negate the effect of your opponents as well. Ideally for use it could work in Water decks using stuff like Legendary Ocean to make this a Level 2 with 1700 ATK where your enabling Rank 2 Xyz Plays and generating Link Summons for Mastar Boy for even more ATK boost since the summoning effect isn't limited to a hard OPT. Ninjask Is Bae
I like this card a lot! Seeing as most decks use a field spell, this is usually a free special and locking your opponent out of their field spell is totally coolio! This completely locks down decks that require their field spell to do stuff to their Main Phace 2, if they can even beat over this thing in the first place. And being able to make Links and Rank 3's with ease is pretty good as the Rank 3 pool is actually prety good. Overal a fun tech in either water decks that use "Legendary Ocean" if you wanna make "Toadally Stupid" or a fun versatile 1 of as a Rank 3/Link/Lockdown option in any deck that uses a field spell and has acces to level 3's! Darj
I find ironic that it's WATER when Inklings actually dissolve in water; I would make this LIGHT since colors are associated with light, but then it wouldn't work with Legendary Ocean as intended.Anyway, the card is ok, IMO, if only because of the built-in summoning effect, that's it not even OPT so you can drop them all in the same turn if you draw multiple, for extra Deck plays, and while leaving this during the opponent's turn to lock its Field Spell may not seem as appealing with such stats, at least it can end up delaying the opponent's plays involving Field Spells until its MP2.
