Nutritious Z - Tuber

Normal Trap

When your opponent declares an attack: You gain LP equal to the total ATK of Attack Position monsters your opponent currently controls. Also, destroy the attacking monster. If you gain LP by a monster's effect: You can set this card from your GY, and if you do, banish it when it leaves the field.

A call-out to Nutrient Z, and a form of Mirror Force.... or Sakuretsu Armor lol~

I really like this card. The nod towards Nutrient Z is amazing xD I was hoping for it to support Nutrient Z by searching it with a "banish from GY" effect, but that re-Setting effect is much better.

Still, IMO it can be improved a bit. Why not make the second effect activate when you gain LP from a Spell/Trap, too? You could be pro and play Sparks to re-Set this card :v

Also, again IMO, the name could be better. I mean, Nutritious... Z... Tuber? IDK what the last word means in this card's context.

Instead of that, a name like... Nutrient Z Force comes to mind. Granted, it is more straightforward, but makes more sense to me. Also it kind of implies that it's like those nutrients advertised for exercise and bodybuilding xD

That, or Nutrient Z Armor could work too. inb4 Nutrient Z Doping :v

Tuber is the result of my Google Search for the word "tuberculo" in English. It is meant to be a vegetable that grows inside the earth like Potatoes or Carrots. The flavor is that it is the vegetable from where the Nutrient Z is extracted.

Sparks is a burn card. You mean that Curry card that doesn't exist in the TCG. Or Dian Ketto.

I didn't think about Nutrient Z searching, but that's an amusing use. I would have no problem on editing it that way....  This card is meant to be better than Nutrient Z because Nutrient Z is a diluted version of the original concentrated extract xD

I did just notice though that this card could be kind of abusable if something were to block it's self-banishment so I should give it a hard OPT to the self-recovering effect or something.... maybe.... Like, nothing right now can really make that a problem, but the opportunity seems to be there somewhere.

The Monster effect part of it is because I don't want this to be a super consistent self sufficient card. I want this to be part of more of a mix. It'd be bad if you have something like Imperial Iron Wall and/or Temple of the Kings and this card's effect keeps triggering off the second copy and they just bounce off each other and give you like a million LP......

Ah, right, it triggers on heals, not burns x.x my mistake.

Poison of Old Man is AFAIK the best card to play for plain burn/healing, anyway.

It should be fine if banishment is locked and you can bring this card repeatedly. I mean, Lost Wind and Paleozoics are also Traps that get themselves banished after returning themselves to the board and I have yet to see decks that abuse them along, let's say, Imperial Iron Wall.

And yeah, triggering from Spell/Traps could be loopy if a copy can trigger the other one xD

Though if it were to set Nutrient Z instead of itself, it'd be a floating effect less loopy and that requires a little bit more dedication.

Though it'd probably change how this card operates a bit much.....  I like the flavor though. I should do it xD

If you do switch to setting Nutrient Z, then please make it Set it from Deck, hand and GY, so it works well as a 1-of; otherwise, running multiple Nutrient Z would be undesirable.

Also, I see now the origin of "Tuber" in the card's name. It's a creative approach, although I still find it odd xD
