Draconus297 Posted August 18, 2017 Report Share Posted August 18, 2017 Tyrant Burst Dragon LIGHT - Level 8 - Dragon/Fusion/Effect - 2900/2500Must be Special Summoned by the effect of "The Fang of Critias", using "Tyrant Wing", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. You can target 1 face-up monster you control; equip this monster to that target. It gains 400 ATK and DEF, also it can make 3 attacks during each Battle Phase. Honestly my favorite of the three Critias Fusions, and can stack up huge amounts of damage output if you can get your opponent's field clear. Honestly, my only issue with it is the asinine restrictions Konami placed on the Critias Fusions when they were printed, because if you could just revive this thing it'd be considerably less stupid. I'd also like to use this opportunity to point out this thing's place in my old OTK-centered Dragon Deck, where the hilarity of REDD equipped with this and REBD Sword was always good for a 5K+ chuckle. The best part is when someone used UtL to reduce their damage, instead of its usual purpose of running something over (while they had tried the previous turn, First of the Dragons doesn't die that easily). Thoughts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted August 18, 2017 Report Share Posted August 18, 2017 if you could just device this thing it'd be considerably less stupid.What does the verb "to device" mean? the equip effect should have been quick, so that you can attack all monsters once each with this first, then equip during the battle phase and get 3 attacks in. Draconus297 Posted August 18, 2017 Author Report Share Posted August 18, 2017 Goddammit. Autocorrect is being an idiot. I meant to say "revive", and the OP has been corrected. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sleepy Posted August 21, 2017 Report Share Posted August 21, 2017 All in all, I think Timaeus got the best treatment and the other two depend.... Critias has the worst Fusion Materials (unsearchable stand-alone Traps completely unrelated to each other) and Hermos has the worst fusions (like, they are not all bad, but they could be better... Except Red-Eyes B. Dragon Sword, I love making that card in heavy dragon decks). Tyrant Wing I think is a pretty amazing card for the standard of the Waking the Dragons/Orichalcos era (AKA about 2003). Though nowadays I wish there was a way I could justify using this and/or Critias as consistent plays in a deck not focused around just doing these.I have hopes for the new Legendary Decks coming out... It also is technically the more loose one, and it doesn't clog the Extra Monster Zone with the fusions I suppose. Which would give Critias the short end of the stick compared to the other Legendary Dragons... Also yeah, I don't really see DMG being really ran in Dark Magician decks. Though one thing helping when I have seen it, is E HERO Prisma (though HERO Lives is a huge LP cost to pay) turn into her before the Fusion. Also in their defense, those fusions aren't exclusive to Timaeus, unlike the other Legendary Dragons' fusions. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
