Lousy Unleash Zone

[Continuous Trap]

If a card/effect would add a card(s) from the Deck or GY to the hand: You can have that player(s) reveal that card(s), shuffle them into the Deck, and draw that many cards.

^The idea of the card is that it turns any search effects into draw effects, effectively keeping card advantage the same, but making players unable to control their strategies as neatly.

It was gonna outright replace the action from the beginning, but I figured this way it'd be more neatly resolved without thinking about any other factors (and believe me, there were other factors I found a little hard to word here). Plus, since it acts on GY recovery too, it can just fatten the deck as an added bonus.

I'm not quite sure if this effect alone is enough, and more than a disruption, it is meant to be a potential engine. IDK, something like returning the 3 Ojamas of Ojamagic and drawing 3 cards instead, allowing you to maximize Ojamagic in your Deck while not clogging with overabundance of vanillas.

What are your thoughts?

The wording looks messy. Like, it's not a direct effect replacement effect, and it depends on a "would" action, and these kind of "would" effects are usually used in lingering or continuous effect (e.g. Macro, D.D. Ground), plus IDK how this would work on effects that add a variable number of cards to the hand ("up to X") nor how a player would go on revealing a card from the Deck before actually taking it out from the Deck.. How about applying the effect once the cards are successfully added to the hand? The opponent has to reveal them anyway, so there shouldn't be risk of cheating or whatever.

If a card(s) is added from the Deck or GY to a player's hand by a card effect: You can have that player(s) reveal that card(s), shuffle them into the Deck, and draw that many cards.

Text fix aside... IDK about this card. Trading searches and grave recoveries for draws is like a doubled-edged sword: you can get a better card than what you would grab, or a worse one. It's both disruptive and beneficial, and all goes down to luck. I would probably play this along effects that add multiple cards to the hand, like Salvage or Recurring Nightmare, to practically turn them into mini versions of Pot of Avarices. Or as you suggest, along effects that otherwise would add cloggy or low-quality cards like Ojamagic.

Part of me wants this card to have a searching effect of some sort on activation to give it extra value, but that may be overdoing it.

I like it. Having been playing Pokemon TCG, I've been looking into why certain strategies work there, and not here (YGO). And if you play PTCG, this card reminds me a lot of N, but N not only disrupts but punishes the player in the lead, by drawing based on your Prize Cards. It can also deny any chances of a comeback in the late game.

But this card isn't pure Disruption, this is also a continuous Mallet for the user, which is nice if you don't have access searchers. Going back and forth if this should have OPT or not, but overall this seems very fun.
