[I Hate Snatch Steal]

 

Target 1 Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 monster with the same Type and Attribute as that monster you control but 2 Ranks higher, by using it as the Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to it also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.) If this card is in your graveyard: You can banish 1 Xyz monster from your graveyard; add this card to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Rank-Up-Magic Pirated Force" once per turn.

 

The name comes from someone or something stealing rank-up-magic secrets from the astral world and reverse engineering them.

 

The design goal is to have a more playable version of the tcg errata's rank-up-magic astral force.

Are you telling me you're not making an archetype based off of Astral World raiders that look kinda like mythical flying pirates? You sadden me.

 

Anyway, it's a cool card, but any Rank 4 LIGHT Machine monster is going to be broken (for obvious reasons). I might only make it buff itself by 1 Rank so it can't quite do that. The GY effect is also pretty cool, since it's really conditional, and you might as well give a player to not be able to run 3 for consistency's sake, especially with the birthing of Link Format.

 

I also recommend making a Quick Effect version that doesn't Rank up the monster, just puts in another of the same Rank, which would dodge target effects, switch out your Xyz for another possible xyz possibly in the archetype, and get an extra material out of it.
