Fukato
Normal Trap CardEffect: Target 1 "Trickstar" monster you control; make your opponent draw 2 cards, and that target becomes unaffected by other card effects, except "Trickstar" card effects. You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 "Trickstar" card in your GY; add it to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Trickstar Idolization" once per turn. Since Trickstars don't have too many cards out yet (although they are burning people's eyes), I made a support to protect them while letting them burn. Also, this will allow them to recover their cards from the GY, even another copy of itself if possible. It does give the opponent some advantages though since they do get 2 cards drawn. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Obvious synergy with Lycoris is obvious... But yeah, helping them recover used up Lightstages and stuff helps; well, Candina and Lycoris are the main ones. As noted above, it does combo with Lycoris (and I've seen some players using Gift of Greed to force draws; this does the same thing but is searchable / adds protection). Out of fairness, Trickstars got a ton of flack from players because of said FTK that's somewhat neutered now with loss of 2 Reincarnations OCG-side; we still got it on our end. So...with that being said, it does give them some GY retrieval, but indirectly leads to more combo fodder. Protection for bosses is always nice though. ====Before anyone complains about FTK Trickstars being mentioned, while they should develop their own playstyle that isn't related to heavy Chain Burn 2.0 [and I believe they can make themselves a decent Archetype without relying on that], potential interactions with that variant need to be considered. As I already said above, Gift of Greed has been used as a tech to force draws on multiple Lycoris (albeit with other combos), and that isn't searchable. This card is. Darj
Not a fan of the first effect: it is clearly intended for Lycoris burn, which IMO is not a fair card and the one that distorts the entire archetype into a Burn variant, and yet giving the opponent 2 cards for a mere single-target protection isn't really worth it, except when the burns generated by Lycoris would drop the opponent's LP 0 and win you the game. So in a way, this effect is only good because of Lycoris' fault, and if she is ever dealt with through the banlist, this effect becomes so much worse. The grave effect is good for recovery and staying longer on the game, though, in a similar way that Reincarnation does. I like that it's missing the "except the turn it was sent to GY" clause so you can mil it with Foolish Burial Goods and use the effect right away. IMO Trickstars should get first support that strengthens their Special Summoning and swarming to sustain and empathize a Link Monster playstyle, before making support that strengthens their burn playstyle, which understandably is frowned upon because of its conflicts with player interaction. Therefore, I would prefer if this card's first effect didn't highlight Lycoris' burn and instead assisted and encouraged the summoning of their Link Monsters.
