TheTrueSaiyan Posted November 7, 2017 Report Share Posted November 7, 2017 So with a bunch of rumors about a bunch more Archetypes getting a link monster (including Shaddolls), I began thinking: What do Shaddolls need right now I didn't want to use Flip monsters as the materials since playtesting with Subterror Behemoth Fiendess, it's very difficult to get him out quicklyThought about using "Shaddoll" monsters as then you could free up your extra monster zone if need be and summon another "Shaddoll" from the hand, but they that would be counterproductive and "Shaddolls" don't really spam the board the begin with, especially face up anyways. So I settled on just Spellcaster so you could use Fairy Tail Snow and Trick Clown to get it out reasonably easy Then as for the actual effect, Shaddolls have plenty of negates and lockdown with Winda and Shekhinaga, so it' has to be something offensive. So I settled in on quick effect pop a la Drident and Mater Peace. For the final effect, I wanted to have some homage to the other extra deck monster. The fusion monsters add a card from your graveyard, but link summoning doesn't require a fusion card so I choose to add it from the deck 2 Spellcaster-Type monsters ① If this card is Special Summoned: Special Summon 1 Flip Monster from your hand or GY in face-down Defense Position ② During either player's turn (Quick effect) target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy it, then send 1 "Shaddoll" card from your hand to your GY.③ If this card is sent to the GY: You can add 1 "Shaddoll" Spell/Trap Card from your deck to your hand.You can only use each "El Shaddoll Nephilim" effect once per turn. [spoiler=Old Design]2 Spellcaster-Type monsters① If this card is Special Summoned: Special Summon 1 Flip Monster from your hand or GY② During either player's turn (Quick effect) target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy it, then send 1 "Shaddoll" card from your hand to your GY. Summon this and use its effect to Summon a Spellcaster Flip Monster.This + that monster = another copy of this"If Special Summoned" effect CL, "If sent to the GY effect" CL2loop-di-doop Add some hopts. Tinkerer Posted November 7, 2017 Report Share Posted November 7, 2017 I'd say make all its effects hard-OPTs since using the first effect lets you summon out another of these using itself and the summoned monster allowing you to search (twice, if you use it multiple times). Practically, yeah, as long as the link had some consistent way of searching Shaddoll S/Ts, it'd be good. Everything else about it (once its loop spamming is fixed) seems good, though the first effect's inability to SS the flip monster face-down seems a bit silly. I think making the second effect from the deck would be a little OP, Thanks. Do you realise that this card is loopy as f***?
