Dreadshock Dragon (Link Monster)

Hello Everyone i know it's been awile since i made something, but this is basically my first attempt at a Link monster  and i used a template BatMed gave so im good on that, but the font isn't exactly on point and im not sure exactly how or what kind it is.

Also this card is sort of like Thunder-type Link monster support so you could make this with stuff like I dont know hunder family but i didn't want to make it to easy to summon like a link-2 so i made it a Link-3. But here it is, I Hope you guys like the card.

Dreadshock Dragon

DARK / Dragon-Type / Effect

2 Thunder Type Monsters

Once per turn, you can target 1 Thunder-type monster in your GY; Special summon that target

to a Monster Zone this Link monster points to, and if you do decrease the ATK of each face up

monster your opponent controls by half that monsters Original ATK. You can only use each effect

of "Dreadhsock Dragon" once per turn.

ATK/2100/ LInk-2

What's the Attribute?

But other than that, I don't know if 'hunders or even stuff like Batterymen even want this right now, and they're comparatively slow when matched against the current game. For starters, it does have Decode Talker links so it is legitimately dead outside the EMZ. Second, ATK isn't particularly great and not much reason to use it over Decode (which technically is generic and can do something*) or even Torisbaena (despite its nuking effects on your end). Revival effects are nice and cannot argue with the stat drop, but...as a Link 3, it doesn't do too much.

You cannot summon a monster from the GY to the Extra Monster Zone; only if you are summoning it from the Extra Deck.

Also because Thunders do not have any Links of their own right now, so you are stuck making this with 3 monsters and I think they got better things to do.

Some suggestions you can try:

  • Make this a Link 2 with 1700-1900 ATK, and just remove the Up marker. Then, it'll serve as a generally easy Link 2 for them to do whatever. You worry about 'hunders, but they aren't much of an issue right now.
  • Buff its ATK to maybe 2400-2500 and move the Up marker to the side (you can choose Left or Right; doesn't matter). By moving that marker to the sides, you eliminate giving the opponent a free Linked Zone and it becomes live in your own MMZ when needed.

* Yes, I know about Decode being meh, and is only being mentioned for comparative reasons.

Thanks Sakura,

I MADE some edits to the card like giving it an actual attribute. lol

I was trying not to make it overpowered but when you put it that way i guess i was wrong.

I get that not too many people are willing to waste so many resources attempting to make a Link-3 when its just as "meh" as ":Decode talker" So i just went ahead and made it a Link-2,, granted Thunder's don't really need this card like you said so moving the link marker to the side and giving it a buff i feel wouldn't really be doing much, But you could do something like nuke your opponents field by summoning something like "Thunderclap Skywolf" from your grave which get its effect when summoned from the grave and i'm really glad they made into a thunder type although you can't conduct your battle phase but too me, totally worth it.

IIRC original effect didn't have an OPT on it, and yeah, I should've caught that too. Could just be him misreading the "do A; do B" thing.

But that being said Winter, you do have to elaborate stuff under the Advanced Clause (how would it make it more versatile); right now, you're under the word requirement.
