Sleepy
Eon Trap TreeDARK [Plant / Link / Effect] 1400 / LINK - 3Pointers: [Down-Left], [Down-Right], [Down]2+ monstes you control in the same columns as Set Spell/Trap Cards on the fieldWhen Link Summoned: Excavate cards from the top of your Deck, up to the total Level the materials used for its Summon had on the field. Then, set any Continuous Trap Cards excavated this way to Spell & Trap Zones this card points to, and shuffle the rest into the Deck. You can only use this effect of "Eon Trap Tree" once per turn. - - - - - - - Generic Link 3 with all arrows downward.I know the materials don't have to state you need to control them normally, but this is meant to help set it apart from the other requirement of set backrow in the same column. It kind of sounded like the materials themselves could also be on either side before I added that extra bit. The backrow part can be fulfilled by you, but the more you fulfill it, the less space this card has to resolve its effect. It doesn't do anything unless in the Main Monster Zone (so another Link out to already be out somewhere) to use its effect, otherwise it won't be pointing to any S/T Zones. Also, the excavation is based on Levels so laddering off another Link is gonna diminish your mining. It searches only Continous because Normal Traps a harder pool to account for, Counter would do Counter Fairy or Solemn Spam crap, and because it being an ancient Plant, I thought it'd be neat to help look for Naturia Tree, general reviving effects, and even Skill Drain/Macro Cosmos. Thoughts/Comments/Suggestions/Fixes/etc. Welcomed, as always~
Darj
A rather tricky card to play with, but can be hugely rewarding if you use monsters with high Levels as materials. May sound unrealistic at first, but if you consider that stuff like Galaxy Tomahawk exist, you get to mill like 21 cards, more than half the average Deck. Stuff like Destrudo can also assist with getting high-Level materials. IMO it's fine. The potential of Setting 3 Traps is there, but you have to dedicate to it. Even the deck has to be built with plenty of Cont. Trap Cards to Set. Actually, I think it should state where it "checks" the Levels of the monsters. If it's on the field, then it will add the Levels of Tokens, but if it's in the GY, then Destrudo gets to count as Level7, but Tokens wouldn't add to the # of cards milled. Edited: It now specifically directs to the Levels on the field. Those are more flexible and can build stuff around them. Also, I partially made this card with old high Levels in mind that could be teched: Fusilier Dragon (7), Beast King Barbaros (8), Exodus (10), etc. Or downright make a Synchro and use it, and revive it somewhere down the combo. Though those would just be "fun techs" since the card should be tricky enough to use. I mean, it doesn't have any pointers that extend plays further unless you are completely disregarding the effect xD
Darj
Actually, I realized the pointers matter less if you follow up by laddering into another Link using it + the other Link monster pointing at your MM Zone. As a Link3, that means it can turn into Borreload, Skulldeat (without the draw effect) to get its 3 markers down, or just Firewall Dragon.

As a Link3, that means it can turn into Borreload, Skulldeat (without the draw effect) to get its 3 markers down, or just Firewall Dragon. There's a vanilla Link 3 in the Powercode Structured Deck that has all arrows down, Cyberse with 1800 ATK and completely generic materials.I took that as a base for this card only having 2000 and it being a vanilla unless the markers are pointing to places where they can't Summon from the Extra Deck. Also, the materials are kind of generic but do require their columns at the time of being used to have a S/T on either side of the field or else they can't be used for this. When I say I used that vanilla Link as a base, I meant that I'm trying to make it so that this card doesn't fully outclass that card, and I'm thinking maybe about lowering its ATK further, like at 1600 or 1400 maybe. Still debating that. When I posted it, it originally had 2400 ATK but I edited that within half an hour or so.
Darj
With 2000 ATK it still looks better than Traffic Ghost, the non-Effect Link3 monster your refer to. You could make a case that Traffic Ghost benefits from non-Effect monster support, but currently there is nothing that could be relevant involving that kind of monsters. There was Emeral which could Summon it into an MM Zone, but it got axed in TCG.I would further drop the ATK to 1400~1600 as you say.
