Thomas★Zero
Blue-Eyes Platinum Dragon LIGHT Link: DL, D, DR Dragon/Link/Effect 3 LIGHT Monsters including 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" This card is also treated as "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" while on the field or in your GY. Increase this cards ATK by 300 for each Dragon Monster in your GY. When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets or would destroy this card or a monster in a zone this card points to, you can tribute 1 LIGHT monster in a zone this card points to; negate the activation of that card and destroy it. If the tributed card was a "with Eyes of Blue" Monster, you can Special Summon 1 Level 8 LIGHT Dragon Monster from your deck or GY to your side of the field. You can only activate this effect of "Blue-Eyes Platinum Dragon" once per turn. ATK/3000 LINK-3 So for Blue-Eyes this cards as a alternative Shining Dragon where it gains ATK per Dragon in grave, nullify effects by tributing LIGHT Monsters in zones it points to and generating additional Blue-Eyes if the tributed card is a with Eyes of Blue Monster. With this card being a 3 LIGHT material monster with the need of a Blue-Eyes White Dragon this card can be easily set up using Blue-Eyes Alternative as a means to get the BEWD requirement met. Horu
I must say, the concept as a whole is interesting. But let's say you tribute the 2 monsters and summon 2 BEWD. That in turn would allow you to summon BEUD, then BESD respectively. Then you may be able to summon other BEWD fusions as you go.
ParadoxCaller
A few thoughts I had: 1) Requiring 3 materials as a Link-3 seems a bit excessive, as currently the only other Link Monsters we have that also require 3 materials are Link-4. So I would either bump it up to a Link-4 with the same materials and restrictions, or keep it as a Link-3 but reduce the minimum material number to 2. Cyber Dragon Zeiger has similar material restrictions, even though it's Link-2 that requires min. 2 materials 2) Treating itself as BEWD also seems excessive and a bit out of place in my opinion, since it already has a lot of synergy with other cards just by being a "Blue-Eyes" monster. The only reason I can think of where this would be viable is that it opens itself up as a Fusion Material for BEUD, NBEUD, or BETBD. But even then, you wouldn't want to use this card on the field for a Fusion Summon since it's a Link Monster, and that would defeat the purpose of it being on the field in the first place. I realize you could use it as a material from the grave in that case, but there are already 6 Main Deck monsters that do the same that are far easier to dump in the grave for that purpose 3) Having 3000 ATK coupled with its first effect is very OP. If you summoned it using only its minimum number of materials, with only 1 BEWD per its restriction, it would be at 3300 ATK right out of the gate. The best way to balance this would be to either remove BEWD as a must use-material, or remove this effect altogether. Being a 3000 ATK beatstick with an effect that protects itself from destruction is very powerful enough, and the fact that it can feed its own cost makes this even worse, since you can just keep dumping dragons in the grave by tributing "with Eyes of Blue" monsters for its additional effect Just my initial thoughts
