Phelphor, of the Deep
Well this guy will make hydra a real thing and threat in yugioh. Why don't we have a Hydra-Type yet? This guy will make piercing damaging tokens. Make hydras temporary invincible and keep utilizing level 7 Dragon-Type normal monsters by either getting them to re-attach as Xyz Material or getting them to replace things that may leave the field. This fills in the flavor of the lore behind the hydra: "for every head cut off, two shall take its place." Draconic Hydra / LIGHT / Rank 8 / Dragon-Type / Xyz Monster / 2+ Level 8 Dragon-Type monsters / / 2900 ATK / 2400 DEF / This this card and all Dragon-Type token monsters you control can inflict piercing damage. If this card or Dragon-Type token monster(s) leaves the field; you can Special Summon 1 Level 8 Dragon-Type monster banished by this card's effect. If this card declares an attack or is targeted for an attack before the Damage Step you can banish 1 Level 8 Dragon-Type monster from your hand, Deck or GY and detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 "Hydra Minion Token" (Dragon/LIGHT/Level 8/ATK 2900/DEF 2400) in Attack Position. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 face-up Dragon-type "Hydra" monster on the field; this turn, its effects are negated, but it is unaffected by other card effects. During the End Phase if this card has no Xyz Materials, you can attach 1 Level 8 Dragon-Type monster to this card as Xyz Material from your hand, Deck or GY. You can only activate each effect of "Draconic Hydra" once per turn.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
(Assuming the requirements are 2+ Level 7 LIGHT Normal Monsters...) But with all that being said, only two targets that are inherently this without resorting to Level/Type/Attribute changes are Seiyaryu and Hyozanryu, and neither of them are used. Oh heck, the Level 7 Dragon pool in general is small (contains only 7 monsters), and the majority of them are standalones. So...how do you expect to summon this card in a competitive environment given the quite limited pool for this card's materials? You can't Astral Force into this because there are no Rank 5 LIGHT Dragons. Now let's see what your effects do (and I have to ask "why did you give this 5 effects").Piercing damage: OK, this is fine. Floating: Going back to the above; you literally have a very small pool of summoning monsters in this range. Tell me, how are you summoning stuff like Hyozanryu, Mikazukinoyaiba, Red-Eyes, Ryu-Ran, Seiyaryu, Serpent Night Dragon and/or Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon consistently.Granted, at least it replaces itself (somewhat) or if a Token dies, but that's all it does. Token banishing: You're summoning another Token to help punch holes, but then it's requiring you to actually run one of the aforementioned monsters and banish it. The Divine Felgrand effect: You're literally targeting another copy of this card or the Token this thing makes, because there exist no other "Hydra" Dragon monsters.Felgrand is good for Rank 8 decks because generic and protection to everything; this requires gimmick plays to get out and is restricted to itself and its Tokens.Reattaching materials: I did say the pool to summon this card is small, and it uses the same combination of monster stuff (Type/Attribute/Level). Then again, WHERE are you attaching the monster from? You need to mention this. As the card is, getting it out requires more effort than it's worth to really use it. Yeah, you can generate Dragon fodder, but what can you do with them except for beatsticking? You can't use them as Xyz Materials for another Rank 7, Synchros are out of the question (generally), only Fusion these can go into is F.G.D. and there's little/no point in using them to Link Summon. Summoning-wise, making the restrictions on this card don't help it work either. There is no reason to use more than 2 materials for this; if you can amass more than 2 copies of Seiyaryu/Hyozanryu for making this, you might as well just keep them on the field to do other things. =====I realize this review came out rather harsh, but you need to ask yourself "how are you planning to summon this consistently in 2018 and not be dead by the time you manage to summon it with the specific mats?" and "is there an incentive to make this over something like Flare Metal which is much easier to summon and offers more staying power". You're in Advanced, so you need to think of how your stuff is going to work in the current gamestate.
