Mermail Octabyss

So Octabyss is Xyz Pendulum that can boost the ATK of your Mermails by sending Level 3 Water Monsters from your deck to the grave. In addition its pendulum effect can grant a Mermail the ability to attack all of your opponents Monsters which can work with the higher Level ones.

 

For Mermails this can be a handy card for boosting your other Mermails ATK (though I hope with how I worded it that the Atlantean effects can trigger off this.)

The effects of Atlanteans should trigger from it, yes. Sucks that it cannot mil Dragoons, though. How about allowing Level4 or lower, but halve the ATK the monster gains?

Also, a flavor mistake with the name: the "Abyss" goes first. That means it should be named "Abyssocto".

 

Other than that, looks solid enough to me. The multi-attack seems strong, but considering you need to Xyz Summon this and then get it in a Pendulum Zone, it should be fine. Besides, the biggest and most accessible Mermail is Abyssmegalo, and with only 2400 ATK it shouldn't be too threatening, and the next one is Abyssgaios with 2800 ATk, but AFAIK Mermails don't Summon it as often nowadays. I am out of date with Mermails though, so I may be missing stuff that makes the multi-attack deadly.

 

I wonder how would this interact with Megalo's double-attack: Does Megalo gets to attack all monsters and then 2 extra attacks? Or the multi-attack overrides the double-attack, disabling Megalo from attacking directly?
