So Avatar of Horus works as Horus support where if its set as a Pendulum and you Special Summon a Horus like Level 6 or 8 through Level up you can have this both special summon itself from the Pendulum Zone to the field, then, through its Monster effect tribute itself to Summon a Level 6 or 4 Horus. In addition to that while you control this card it protects your other Horus Monsters from destruction and if you control 2 of these on the field as Monsters they can also protect each other from destruction.

 

In Horus themed decks this would be a staple choice along with another high scale Pendulum so you can Pendulum Summon Horus Monsters to the field and set up for additional Horus Monster through this card.

Support for Horus, huh. A bit of a surprise. I don't see anything wrong with the card, even if it's a bit out of place as a Pendulum but hey, other archetypes randomly got Pendulums too, so it's acceptable IMO. Even if it opens shortcuts into the Level6 Horus monsters, they are not that of a threat anymore in nowadays metagames. If anything, I wish it provided support to Level up the Level 6 into the Level 8 without depending on "Level Up" or on the Level 6 destroying something by battle.
