Makes tokens while being hard to hit, makes use of said tokens and helps get over high stats monsters. also makes link plays better, yeah need to improve link plays am I right? Thanoscopter: Continuous Spell card (This is a (Quick-Effect) you can change any number of attack position monsters you control with the combined ATK of 1000 or more to Defense Position; Special Summon 1 "Thanoscopter Token" (Machine/DARK/Level 3/ATK 1700/DEF 300) in Defense Position then banish this card until the End Phase. While this card is banished and you control a "Thanoscopter Token", you can equip 1 "Thanoscopter Token" to 1 other monster you control. The Equipped monster gains 600 ATK and if the Equipped monster is attacked or attacks before the Damage Step; you can halve the ATK of 1 monster your opponent controls until the end of the Battle Phase. During your Main Phase while this card is in the GY except the turn this card was sent to the GY; you can discard 1 card; add this card to your hand. You can only control 1 face-up "Thanoscopter". Black D'Sceptyr Posted May 1, 2018 Report Share Posted May 1, 2018 No seriously you expect me to not know that title came from a certain Marvel movie swamping theatres right now? tricky tricky but seriously the card is a bit...dicey in its wording. So it summons tokens and then lets you equip them to monsters...which tends to not work since the tokens wink out of existence when they leave the Monster Zone. Perhaps the other way around-use something to make the Tokens get equipped with non-Token monsters, to pretty much about the same effect. I'd also do away with the re-acquisition-with Links around, people may not necessarily be using this for intended purpose, but instead for Link fodder as a semi-competently made Dragonoid Generator. Otherwise, many Token-Tribute-lacking Decks will love it, the interaction between Tokens and equips is hamhanded but not unwelcome in presence, and the card sounds like it'd be viable with a few more restrictions on what else you could do with the Tokens. 宇佐見 蓮子@C94 Posted May 1, 2018 Report Share Posted May 1, 2018 see all the other effects are cool and all but this card is completely outclassed in use and practicality by Brandish Mecha Hornet Bit. the only advantage this has over it is that you can keep spawning tokens every turn but that's implying you can even live that long to start making more tokens. the battle phase effects are negligeble at best, it basically turns one of your dudes into a S39 for a turn before it dies the next turn. or gets borreloaded. my suggestion is to make it a Brandish card so it's searchable by Start-up and to make the token it spawns be a Brandish token so you can go into Kagari with it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
