N00b Mistakes

thinking back the noobiest thing I ever did was probably thinking that if you attacked any light monster with any dark monster then the light monster would be destroyed before the battle.

 

did you by any chance play sacred cards for the GBA? the play like that

Mistakes:

 

- Thinking that RFG = Graveyard (In this case, Gren Maju Da Eiza)

- Summoning Ritual Monsters without Ritual Spells (Relinquished)

 

Oh, and once I thought that when a monster was attacked and survived the battle, it's ATK was decreased by the attacking monster's ATK. Along with that, not using Tributes.

i remember in my first deck, i thought that if you used poly to fuse a monster, the ATK and DEF of the new monster was the combined ATK and DEF of the fused monsters

1-play traps from my hand

2-removing your monsters from play to summon a monster was the worst thing you cound do

3-discarding high level monsters was stupid

4-for the longest time i didnt think i had to tribute monsers for a 5 star monster

5-picked really hard combos to try and pull off, like ultamate great moth and so forth

 

yea that was me.....god i was stupid

 

oh oh and the show messed me up too, like in that episode in season 1 when the group became their fav cards and tea was magician of faith. i thought the card had an effect to raise its attack that high.....very disapointed when i tryed to pull that off on my bro.

Some of my classmates used to do that

 

They even thought that you don't have to use Poly for summoning Thousand Dragon xD

 

For some odd reason, I never made n00bish mistakes, just some mistakes about rulings etc. etc.

i used to do it exactly like they did it on the show, put fusion mionsters in my regular deck, play face up def monsters, summon lvl 5 or higher monsters without a tribute.

I also summoned tribute monsters without tributing.

I used to do that and sometimes I still do it with my friends but here are some more mistakes I did instead of that

 

1. Playing Traps from your hand

 

2. summoning level 5-6 monsters withoute tribute

 

3. AND Increasing my LP each time a monster I control is destroyed by battle by the number of Stars/Levels x 100 (don't ask please)

equip spells being placed under the monster and not taking up a s/t slot, 3 axes, 2 malevolent nozzlers, and 2 sword of dark destruction (that lasted about a week)

I've done a lot of n00by stuff, however the most ones I remember is that I can activate the effect of Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan like if I have just one of the attributes I can activate the effect. I also used to think that Jinzo is essential for every deck, and that Stealth Bird's effect activates when it is flipped after being attacked. xD. St00pid ol' days.

Played traps like spells

Ran a 100 card deck with unusable cards like only one T.A.D.P.O.L.E., ritual monsters without the spell, etc.

Thought only way to damage LP was with card effect/direct attack

Thought you could discard a card from your hand to draw 1 card

Tributed Witch of the black forest, searched Summoned Skull, then summoned it.

Had no idea how to work Poly.

Thinking you couldn't summon Captain Tenacious with Fear Monger's effect then summon Fear Monger with Captain Tenacious' effect. Check the rulebook, the official site, read the card text, you CAN do that.

 

And a blunder by Konami:

Spelt "Spell" with 3 l's on Riryoku Field.

I was the noobiest ever! Playing Lvel 5+ monsters without Tributes, playing with 2000 LP, Mystical Elf could transfer ATK points to other monsters, Playing with a deck with 133 cards (XD) and thought that Call of the Haunted summoned all the monsters in my Graveyard, but as Zombies with 0 DEF Points. I also thought that EARTH monsters coukdn't attack WIND monsters and that WATER monster could only be attacked by other WATER monsters, LIGHT and DARK monsters. And all of this was that d*mn Animés fault XD
