Relinquished Support: 5 Cards

Relinquished and Thousand-Eyes Restrict were among my favorite monsters in the early generation of the game. I was excited when they became their very own archetype, complete with a new boss monster: Millennium-Eyes Restrict. Unfortunately, even with their improvements...they still suck. It's too easy for the archetype to brick, run out of resources, and was occasionally just too gimmicky, so the archetype was never anywhere near Tier 1. These five cards seek to make the archetype more competitively viable while maintaining the archetype's core identity intact.

Thousand-Eyes Eidolon

(This card's name is also always treated as "Thousand-Eyes Idol".)
If this card is sent to the GY: You can add 1 "Relinquished" or 1 card that specifically lists the card "Relinquished" in its text from your Deck to your hand, except "Thousand-Eyes Eidolon". You can only use this effect of "Thousand-Eyes Eidolon" once per turn.
An "Eyes Restrict" Fusion Monster or "Relinquished" equipped with this card gains the following effect:
*Other monsters on the field cannot change their battle positions or attack.

The main three-of in the whole Deck. On top of being used as a Fusion Material for either Thousand-Eyes or Millennium-Eyes Restrict, it searches pretty much anything in the archetype when it's sent to the GY for any reason. Its second effect lets Relinquished or Millennium-Eyes Restrict gain Thousand-Eyes Restrict's powers. This is done when combined with another monster, which I'll get to next. One more thing...for the sake of ruling, Thousand-Eyes Eidolon is ALSO always treated as Thousand-Eyes Idol. That means that Thousand-Eyes Eidolon's name doesn't "change" to Thousand-Eyes Idol; it simply keeps both names. The hard once per turn of its first effect applies.

Millennium-Eyes Eidolon

(Quick Effect): You can discard this card; equip 1 monster from your Deck to an "Eyes Restrict" Fusion Monster or "Relinquished" you control, as if it were equipped by that monster's effect. If an "Eyes Restrict" Fusion Monster(s) or a "Relinquished" is Special Summoned: Add this card from your GY to your hand (this is not optional). You can only use each effect of "Millennium-Eyes Eidolon" once per turn.

Either a two or three-of. This card comes in handy if the opposing player doesn't have a good monster to equip (or simply refuses to summon any). This card is very versatile; there are a lot of options that could work with Millennium-Eyes Eidolon. First and most obviously, the new archetype monsters like Thousand-Eyes Eidolon could be equipped from the Deck. Powerful monsters like Kaijus or Malefics could give the equipped monster a huge stat boost. Sided monsters that make up key pieces to the opposing player's strategy could be equipped to your Millennium-Eyes Restrict to stop their strategy before it even starts. Inzektor Hornet can be used to pop cards during the player's turn. The list goes on.

Manifested Shell

(Quick Effect): If this card is in your hand or GY: You can target 1 "Eyes Restrict" Fusion Monster or "Relinquished" you control; equip this card to that target, as if it were equipped by that monster's effect. You can only use this effect of "Manifested Shell" once per turn.
An "Eyes Restrict" Fusion Monster or "Relinquished" equipped with this card gains the following effect:
*Monsters you control cannot be targeted for attacks, except this one. Monsters equipped to this card cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.

The other equippable monster; probably a one or two-of. It doesn't really need Millennium-Eyes Eidolon's help (though it doesn't hurt). It directs all attacks to the equipped monster and prevents itself (and in the case of Millennium-Eyes Restrict, all other monsters it's equipped with) from being destroyed by opposing card effects. Also, unlike Thousand-Eyes Eidolon, this card actually has stats. For the sake of clarification, only opposing cards can't destroy it while equipped. It doesn't prevent the player's own card effects (like Relinquished's effect to destroy the equipped monster to protect itself) from destroying it, and it doesn't protect the equipped monster from being destroyed itself.

Realm of Shadow Eyes

You can activate each of the following effects once per turn:
*If an "Eyes Restrict" Fusion Monster or "Relinquished" is equipped with a monster: Draw 2 cards, then discard 1 card.
*(Quick Effect): Send 1 card equipped to an "Eyes Restrict" Fusion Monster or "Relinquished" you control to the GY; look at your opponent's hand and discard 1 card from their hand.

The first effect gives the archetype some much needed draw power. It's searchable with Terraforming and other field searchers, and can freely discard any of the main deck monsters of this archetype to use later. The second effect is more complicated. The Eyes-Restrict strategy has always been and will always be counterplay. The whole point is to turn their own cards against them and mess up their strategy, so getting to look at (and memorize) the opponent's hand, discard something from it, and then using another quick effect card to re-equip the Relinquished/Eyes Restrict with something else is effective.

Eyes of the Abyss

Fusion Summon 1 "Eyes Restrict" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or either side of the field as Fusion Materials, then if 1 monster from each side of the field was used as Fusion Materials, you can send 1 monster that specifically lists the card "Relinquished" in its text from your Deck to the GY.

In a nutshell, this is a sidegrade to Super Polymerization. On one hand, it doesn't require the player to discard, can be searched by Thousand-Eyes Eidolon, allows use of the player's hand for materials, and lets them mill a Relinquished-themed monster if they don't. On the other hand, Eyes of the Abyss can be negated, plus it's a trap; the player has to wait to use it on the draw, unlike Super Polymerization.

I really like the archetype so far. After all, the creator of Duel Monster's ace deserves good support. One thing for the Field Spell card. I don't think Spell Cards can have Quick Effects in this game, so you should simply write "during either player's turn" or something instead. Also, if the effect gained by Manifested Shell could protect the monster its equipped to from destruction effects in general, that would make Instant Fusion a very powerful card in this deck and a good option to summon several Eyes Restrict monsters in a single turn (although that might be a bit strong). All and all, really nice.

Uh...Manifested Shell doesn't protected the equipped monster from being destroyed by card effects. It gives an Eyes Restrict or a Relinquished monster an effect that prevents monsters that it's equipped with from being destroyed by card effects. In other words, the opponent can't use Twin Twisters to destroy the monsters equipped to a Millennium-Eyes Restrict to get their effects back.

I know it doesn't, it was more of a suggestion for making Instant Fusion more alive in this deck. Sorry for the confusion.
