Black D'Sceptyr
March showers bring April flowers, amiright? Wait. Hold up. WATER/Plant-Type Xyz Effect Monster/Rank 4/1800 ATK/1800 DEF Lore: 2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn, if a monster(s) is Tributed: You can Tribute 1 random monster in your opponent's Extra Deck. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can detach any number of materials from this card, then target that many non-Plant monsters on the field; those monsters become Plant monsters, they lose ATK equal to half of the highest ATK among Plant monsters you control, also if you would Tribute a monster to activate the effect of a "Snowflower" card you control this turn, you can Tribute 1 of those monsters instead. So yeah, patching in some of the other issues with the Snowflowers is fun work. Though, and long freakin' spoilers here, not netting the average Duelist insta +4s from the simplest of combos is not one of them, no matter what the Redditors on the page about the Rank 6 bleat about. And definitely no matter how many 'but every Archetype in 2018 was that way before they were overused, widely despised to the point of being compared to the One Ring, and banned into near-nothingness, why can't EVERY Deck Build Archetype be like them' they issue. This time, the power comes from dragging other monsters to your level (or Rank, in this case), and as everyone who's beheld Lithosagym and Silverokket can attest to, messing with the opponent's Extra Deck is always disturbing. Messing with their field to benefit off your own Snowflower backrow, however...well, that's amore. Also, this is what I got the naming convention for the Xyz from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jokduri Until the next card, folks: reviews, revelry, you know the drill. BD'S, signing off.
