Celestial Swordsman LV4

Level 4

At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked OR during your Main Phase by banishing Warrior monsters from your hand or GY whose total level is 6 or more you can activate the following effect * send this face-up card to the GY and if it left the field this way, special summon 1 "Celestial Swordsman LV6" from your hand, deck, or GY.

Notes: This is technically 2 effects with different costs and conditions that do the same thing when they resolve. 1 is a trigger effect that activates at the end of the Battle Phase, the other is an ignition effect that you can activate by paying the stated cost.

Celestial Swordsman LV6

Up to twice per turn: You can banish 1 monster from your GY, then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked OR during your Main Phase by banishing Warrior monsters from your hand or GY whose total level is 8 or more you can activate the following effect * send this face-up card to the GY and if it left the field this way, special summon 1 "Celestial Swordsman LV8" from your hand, deck, or GY.

Celestial Swordsman LV8

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by "Celestial Swordsman LV6". Once per turn: you can target 1 of your Banished monsters; add it to your hand. Once per turn: you can banish 2 cards from your GY; Destroy all monsters your opponent controls OR all Spell/Trap Cards they control.

Disciple of Dark Magic LV4

Once per turn: you can discard 1 card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; if its a monster reduce its ATK and DEF by 1500 otherwise destroy it. Destroy an affected monster with 0 ATK or DEF. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked OR during your Main Phase by banishing Spellcaster monsters from your hand or GY whose total level is 6 or more you can activate the following effect * send this face-up card to the GY and if it left the field this way, special summon 1 "Disciple of Dark Magic LV6" from your hand, deck, or GY.

Disciple of Dark Magic LV6

Once per turn: you can discard 1 card to target up to 2 face-up cards your opponent controls; for each target, if its is a monster reduce its ATK and DEF by 2000 otherwise destroy it. Destroy an affected monster with 0 ATK or DEF. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was attacked OR during your Main Phase by banishing Spellcaster monsters from your hand or GY whose total level is 8 or more you can activate the following effect * send this face-up card to the GY and if it left the field this way, special summon 1 "Disciple of Dark Magic LV8" from your hand, deck, or GY.

Disciple of Dark Magic LV8

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by "Disciple of Dark Magic LV6". Once per turn, when a card or effect that targets a monster you control is activated: you can negate that activation and if you do, destroy that card. You can discard 1 card; Destroy all cards your opponent controls and inflict 400 damage to your opponent for each destroyed card, also you cannot conduct your battle phase for the rest of this turn. This effect can be used only once while this card is face-up on the field. Once per turn: you can target up to 2 face-up cards your opponent controls; for each target, if its is a monster, reduce its ATK and DEF by 2500 otherwise destroy it. Destroy an affected monster with 0 ATK or DEF.

The new level up mechanic shown here was inspired by certain mechanics/story in Final Fantasy 6.
