Loleo
Apprentice Pendulum Magician Light Level 1 Spellcaster / Pendulum / Tuner / Effect Scale: 8 PE: Once per turn: You can declare a level between your pendulum scale; all monsters currently on the field become the declared level. If you don't control a magician card, banish this card. ME: If you control no monsters and your LP is equal to your opponent's, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). While your LP is equal to your opponent's, this card is unaffected by card effects. This card can attack directly. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can reveal your opponent's hand, then Special Summon 1 monster to your opponent's field in it ignoring its Summoning conditions, and if you do, negate its effects, also your opponent can draw 2 cards, then you can have the summoned card become any Level between that monster's Level and this card. If this monster is used as material or tributed for the summon of a monster, the summoned gains this effect: "You take no battle damage from battles involving this card". You can only use each effect of "Apprentice Magician" once per turn. ATK 500 / DEF
Pommelo
I'm flattered that you decided to make a card based on mine . Here goes some honest feedback n.n So, the differences are interesting. This card's PE definitely supports Xyz in a more dedicated way, and why not, Synchros with even number of stars. The auto Special Summon and Immunity effects are harder to pull, tho, and immediately disappear if you inflict damage with the magician herself, so there's that. The one thing I'm the most concerned about is the draw 2 cards effect. Later the mob can change level. BUT I think perhaps you forgot to take into account that the mob is being taken from your opponent's hand and being Special Summoned to your opponent's field. Giving such advantage to the opponent (+2 cards and a mob ready to be summoned) is no good, so I'm pretty sure your intention was to summon the mob to your own field and use it as material (hence why you removed the part about it not being able to be used as material. Having said this: Quote Novice Magician [(Itsu's Version!!) But with some friendly tweaks] PE: Once per turn: You can declare a number between this card's scale and the scale of the other card in your Pendulum Zone; the Level of all monsters on the field become equal to the number you declared, but banish this card is you do not control other "Magician" card. ME: If you control no monsters and your LP is equal to your opponent's, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). While your LP is equal to your opponent's, this card is unaffected by your opponent's card effects. This card can attack directly. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can reveal your opponent's hand, then Special Summon 1 monster in it ignoring its Summoning conditions, and if you do, negate its effects, also your opponent can draw 2 cards, then you can have the summoned card become any Level between that monster's Level and this card. If this monster is used as Tribute or material for a Summon, the Summoned monster gains this effect. You take no battle damage from battles involving this card I'll give you a big Thanks reaction for doing this :) See ya around!
Loleo
Why in the world did I say opponent's field lmao. Thanks I'm glad you like it. I used your card as format and forgot to fix the name also.
Tinkerer
Unfortunately, "Apprentice Magician" is already a real card.
Horu
You could rename the card Magician's Apprentice and it still works.

Yes. Since it still has "Magician" in the name, it is still considered a "Magician" card. Kinda like how the "Eyes of Blue" monsters are still considered "Blue-Eyes" cards. Loleo
WAIT EYES OF BLUE ARE TREATED AS BLUE EYES?!? then why are the cyber dragons not treated as cyber dragons?
Tinkerer
Gonna clear the air here: - Yes, "Magician's Apprentice" would also be an appropriate name and it would still work with the Magician pendulum support. It still has "Magician" in its name and it is still a pendulum, so there isn't any issue there. - "Eyes of Blue" are not "Blue-Eyes" cards. Heck, "Eyes of Blue" isn't even an archetype. - CyDra is weird. Every monster that has "Cyber Dragon" in the name is part of the "Cyber Dragon" archetype. However, most of them change their name in order to work with cards that specifically need "Cyber Dragon". For example, you can use CyDra Infinity to as Material to Summon "Chimeratech Rampage Dragon" (since it needs the CyDra archetype) but not" Cyber Twin Dragon" (since it needs "CyDra" as a monster). Yeah, I was more pointing out how the "Eyes of Blue" aren't really their own archetype since they specifically support the "Blue-Eyes" archetype. Hence why I pointed out that would be considered "Blue-Eyes" cards despite the name.
