Considering you summon the Ursartic Synchros via their effects as they can't be Synchro Summoned themselves, I don't think you could even use Yamatako Orochi as a level 8 in that instance.

Yep Ursartic Synchro monsters cannot be synchro summoned.

I love all these cards and the variety they add to the game without being exceptionally powerful. Lots of fun gimmicks especially the XYZ.
