F1 is back soon for another season and you know what I must do every year: Turn the new cars into Yugioh cards. Because that's fun, isn't it? Quote Formula 1 Alpine A524 Machine/Pendulum/Effect/DARK/Level 6 Pendulum Scale: 9 ATK 2200/DEF 1600 You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Formula 1" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. During your Main Phase: You can Tribute 1 face-up "Formula 1" Pendulum Monster you control; Special Summon this card from your Pendulum Zone. You must have a "Formula 1" card in your other Pendulum Zone to activate and to resolve this effect. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Alpine A524" once per turn. Cannot be Special Summoned, except by its own Pendulum Effect or by Pendulum Summon. When this card is Summoned: Send all face-up "Formula 1" Pendulum Monsters from your Extra Deck to the GY, and if you do, you can Special Summon an equal amount of "Formula 1" Pendulum Monsters from your Main Deck, but you can only Special Summon monsters that have the same name as a "Formula 1" monster in your GY. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Alpine A524" once per turn. Neither player can target "Formula 1" monsters on the field with card effects, except this one. If this card would be sent from the Monster Zone to your Extra Deck face-up, you can return it to your hand instead. Formula 1 Aston Martin AMR24 Machine/Pendulum/Effect/WIND/Level 6 Pendulum Scale: 9 ATK 2300/DEF 1600 You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Formula 1" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. While this card is in your Pendulum Zone, face-up "Formula 1" Pendulum Monsters in your Extra Deck can be Pendulum Summoned to the Main Monster Zones. Pendulum Monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck cannot activate their effects during the turn they are Special Summoned. If only your opponent controls a monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once while face-up on the field, when a "Formula 1" Pendulum Monster is Special Summoned to your field: Target 1 card your opponent controls; return it to the bottom of the Deck. Once per turn: You can target 1 "Formula 1" monster you control, then declare a Level from 1 to 4; it becomes that Level, until the end of this turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except Pendulum Monsters, during the turn you activate this effect. Formula 1 Ferrari SF-24 Machine/Synchro/Pendulum/Effect/FIRE/Level 8 Pendulum Scale: 1 ATK 2600/DEF 2000 You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Formula 1" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. If a "Formula 1" monster you control battles an opponent's monster, any battle damage it inflicts to your opponent is doubled. 1 Pendulum Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner Pendulum Monsters If a "Formula 1" monster you control battles a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent, except by a direct attack: You can target 1 "Formula 1" monster you control whose ATK is equal to or less than the damage inflicted; it can attack directly this turn, also if it has already attacked this turn, it gains one additional attack. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can place it in your Pendulum Zone, then Special Summon 1 "Formula 1" monster from your hand, Main Deck or GY. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Ferrari SF-24" once per turn. Formula 1 Haas VF-24 Machine/Pendulum/Effect/DARK/Level 4 Pendulum Scale: 1 ATK 1600/DEF 1200 You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Formula 1" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. During your Main Phase, you can: Immediately after this effect resolves, Fusion Summon 1 "Formula 1" Fusion Pendulum Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control as materials. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Haas VF-24" once per turn. During the turn this card is Summoned, your opponent cannot activate cards/effects in response to activated effects of "Formula 1" cards you control. During your Main Phase: You can roll a six-sided die, then excavate cards from the top of your Deck equal to the result, and Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Formula 1" monster among them, also return the remaining cards to the bottom of the Deck in any order. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Haas VF-24" once per turn. This card can be treated as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a "Formula 1" monster. Formula 1 McLaren MCL38 Machine/Pendulum/Effect/FIRE/Level 6 Pendulum Scale: 9 ATK 2400/DEF 1600 You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Formula 1" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. When this card is activated: Special Summon 1 "Formula 1" monster from your hand, and if you do, negate all card effects in the same column as that monster, except "Formula 1" cards. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 McLaren MCL38" once per turn. You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing, but if you do, negate its effect(s) until the end of this turn (even if it leaves the field). Negate the effects of monsters in the same column as this card. If this card battles, negate the effects of the opponent's monster until the end of this turn (even if that monster or this card leave the field). If this card leaves the field: You can Special Summon 1 "Formula 1" monster from your hand, and if you do, destroy all Effect Monsters on the field that have their effects negated. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 McLaren MCL38" once per turn. Formula 1 Mercedes W15 Machine/Xyz/Pendulum/Effect/DARK/Rank 4 Pendulum Scale: 1 ATK 2700/DEF 2000 You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Formula 1" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. Banish any monster destroyed by battle with a "Formula 1" monster you control. 3 Level 4 "Formula 1" Pendulum Monsters If you can Pendulum Summon Level 4, you can Pendulum Summon this face-up card from your Extra Deck. While this card has materials, any card sent to your opponent's GY is banished instead. At the start of the Damage Step, if a "Formula 1" monster you control battles an opponent's monster: You can detach 1 material from this card; banish that opponent's monster. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Mercedes W15" once per turn. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can place it in your Pendulum Zone, then Special Summon 1 "Formula 1" monster from your hand, Main Deck or GY. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Mercedes W15" once per turn. Formula 1 Racing Bulls VCARB 01 Machine/Pendulum/Effect/WATER/Level 4 Pendulum Scale: 1 ATK 1800/DEF 1200 You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Formula 1" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. This card in the Pendulum Zone can be used as Xyz Material for the Xyz Summon of a monster, by treating it as a Level 4 monster. If you do, all other Xyz Materials must be "Formula 1" monsters you control. During your Main Phase: You can roll a six-sided die, then excavate cards from the top of your Deck equal to the result, and Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Formula 1" monster among them, also return the remaining cards to the bottom of the Deck in any order. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Racing Bulls VCARB 01" once per turn. This Special Summoned card is treated as a Tuner while face-up on the field. If this card leaves the field because it was used as material for a Summon: All face-up "Formula 1" monster you control gain 600 ATK/DEF until the end of this turn. Formula 1 Red Bull RB20 Machine/Fusion/Pendulum/Effect/DARK/Level 8 Pendulum Scale: 9 ATK 2800/DEF 2000 You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Formula 1" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. Once per turn, during your End Phase: Destroy all face-up monsters on the field, except "Formula 1" monsters. 2 "Formula 1" Pendulum Monsters with diffeent names Must be Fusion Summoned OR Pendulum Summoned. Your opponent cannot pay LP or send cards to the GY as a cost to activate effects. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 card your opponent controls; banish that target, then shuffle 1 "Formula 1" monster from your hand or field into the Deck. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can place it in your Pendulum Zone, then Special Summon 1 "Formula 1" monster from your hand, Main Deck or GY. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Red Bull RB20" once per turn. Formula 1 Sauber C44 Machine/Pendulum/Tuner/Effect/WIND/Level 4 Pendulum Scale: 9 ATK 1700/DEF 1200 You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Formula 1" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. During the Main Phase, you can: Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 "Formula 1" Synchro Pendulum Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control as materials, including this card from your Pendulum Zone treated as a Level 4 monster (do NOT treat this card as a Tuner). You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Sauber C44" once per turn. During your Main Phase: You can roll a six-sided die, then excavate cards from the top of your Deck equal to the result, and Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Formula 1" monster among them, also return the remaining cards to the bottom of the Deck in any order. Once per turn, if a "Formula 1" monster(s) is Special Summoned to your field, while this card is face-up on the field (Quick Effect): You can target 1 card your opponent controls; return it to the top of the Deck. Formula 1 Williams FW46 Machine/Pendulum/Effect/WATER/Level 4 Pendulum Scale: 1 ATK 1900/DEF 1200 You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Formula 1" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. While this card is in a Pendulum Zone, its controller can Pendulum Summon up to twice per turn, but they cannot Pendulum Summon monsters from the Extra Deck. During your Main Phase: You can roll a six-sided die, then excavate cards from the top of your Deck equal to the result, and Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Formula 1" monster among them, also return the remaining cards to the bottom of the Deck in any order. You can only use this effect of "Formula 1 Williams FW46" once per turn. Each time a "Formula 1" monster is Special Summoned to your field, draw 1 card. If this card is Tributed: You can target 1 card on the field; send it to the GY, also your opponent cannot activate cards or effects with that name for the rest of this turn. Expand the quote to view the cards. Now, admittedly, I used this year's cards as basically a testing ground for experimental stuff. Crazy gimmicks that probably won't exist in real Yugioh, such as giving yourself the ability to Pendulum Summon twice per turn or ignoring the Extra Deck rules for Pendulum Summons like it's Master Rule 3. You'll see that a lot of these cards have unorthodox effects, a good bit of them involving Special Summoning as the objective is to get bodies on the field and Summon the big guys Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull as soon as possible, which are the win conditions of the Deck. Mercedes can remove threats by banishing stuff that battles your F1 cars, and while it has materials it's straight up Dark Law with more attack. Ferrari is the Synchro and it's there to deal big damage with its piercing ability and potentially letting another F1 gain another attack, which if it got boosted by Racing Bulls can be game ending. Red Bull is the Fusion, and can banish as well, but its main purpose is to be a floodgate, shutting down a lot of enemy effects by preventing the opponent from even paying the cost. Although each iteration of the F1 cards is meant to be a separate Deck, they can be used with cards from previous seasons as they are all part of the same archetype.
