This card can be treated as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of an "Ancient Gear" monster. During your Main Phase this turn, you can Normal Summon 1 "Ancient Gear" monster, in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) If this card is tributed to Tribute Summon a Level 8 "Ancient Gear" monster: Draw 2 cards. You can only use this effect of "Ancient Gear Horse" once per turn. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step.

I'm glad this double summon works with Ancient Gear Commander so you could potentially get up to 3 normal summons in a turn. The extra field presence makes getting to the link for a search easier. A nice bit of consistency which can turn into draw power.

It irks me that it only works with level 8 monsters only while not mentioning "Ancient Gear Golem" by name. If it mentioned it the Horse would work with cards like Gear Frame. I do wish this card worked with Reactor Dragon and Hydra. It'd make em more viable for fun decks, especially if the Horse counted as a Gadget so it could get their bonus effects (even if just for the effects that require a Gadget tribute). The effect could even work with the level 5/6 monsters, something like "If this card is Tributed for the Tribute Summon of an "Ancient Gear" monster: you can draw 1 card for each tribute that monster required to Summon". That way you could tribute summon a level 5/6 monster and draw 1 card while also getting to draw 2 cards if you tribute summon a big one.

I would also make the draw not mandatory tbh. That way you could tribute it for Dark Golem then use the draw before you search 2. Having 500 DEF would also be a nice touch, tho not necessary. It'd make the Horse searchable by Box which makes for great fusion material and consistency.
